IAEA report to detail efforts by Iran to develop a nuclear weapon

In a report to be released early this week, the International Atomic Energy Agency will make the most detailed charges to date that Iran's nuclear program is geared toward weapons development and military use, several Western diplomats briefed on the report told CNN.

The diplomats said that the report will include more data than the organization has previously released on clandestine efforts by Iran to develop technologies to build a nuclear weapon, including computer models of a nuclear warhead. They argue the IAEA studies offer no other explanation for those efforts beyond Iran seeking to develop a nuclear weapon.

Although previous IAEA reports have cited concerns by the organization that Iran has been seeking to develop nuclear warheads and ballistic missiles to deliver them, the diplomats said the upcoming report is expected to make the charges more explicitly.

I wonder just how much the right-wing thugs in Washington paid the IAEA to fake such a report on Iran. It appears to me that these thugs in Washington are aching to start another useless and unnecessary war for their convenience. No wonder this country's going down the tubes!!!

I think iran should have nukes. That could be what it takes. With great power comes great responsibility.

Do any of you remember the soviet union? For decades, we had something of a 'cold war' with them.

Outside of a few long term leaders, the commies went through many leaders in rapid-fire succession. Any and many of them were completely nuts.

    Yet, here we are, unnuked.

Many leaders may have little qualm with sending other people to die. It's a whole nother story when you personally can be nuked.

The threat of our own destruction keeps us from nuking others. That's not just an american thing.. China has em, for christ's sake.

iwould give them the bomb and make sure that they not work on that anymore. Then israel would have to sit down and talk to iran instead of telling them always what to do

@ lee, I really don't think we actually know what each country has in regards to Nukes or other weapons of mass destruction. The powers that be don't even really know what CARDS each other holds in their hands. What do you think?

@nadean: it's a crap shoot. I have always accepted that we are not as smart as we think we are..

Probably best to assume everyone has everything anyway. Might as well make it official. Lol
