Sandusky arrested on new child rape charges

[Updated at 2:34 p.m. ET] Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky was arrested Wednesday on additional child rape charges, which raise the number of alleged victims from eight to 10 people, the Pennsylvania attorney general's office said.

The new charges include four counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and two counts of unlawful contact with a minor, involving two new alleged victims who were boys at the time of the alleged encounters.

Sandusky, who maintains his innocence, faces a preliminary hearing on December 13 at 8:30 a.m.

"Today's criminal charges were recommended by a statewide investigating grand jury, based on evidence and testimony that was received following the initial arrest of Sandusky on November 5," Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda Kelly said.

The new alleged victims - identified as Victim 9 and Victim 10 - encountered Sandusky at The Second Mile charity, a nonprofit organization he founded for underprivileged children.

Victim 9 was between 11 and 12 years old when he met the former coach around 2004, who allegedly gave him gifts and money and took the boy to university football games, according to the statement.

Sandusky allegedly met Victim 10 in 1997 after a counselor recommended the boy attend the charity "because of difficulties in his home life."

A grand jury report made public last month detailed 40 charges against the former coach in a child sex abuse scandal that, at the time, involved eight alleged victims, spanning 15 years.

A look at the grand jury report

The eight alleged victims identified in that report, like the two new accusers, first encountered Sandusky through the Second Mile, the attorney general's office said.

"As in many of the other cases identified to date, the contact with Sandusky allegedly fit a pattern of 'grooming' victims," Kelly said. "Beginning with outings to football games and gifts, they later included physical contact that escalated to sexual assaults."

Well we all know when he is sentenced to prison he will receive what he gave...it doesn't heal what he did to those innocent kids but you know he will be touching his toes with his fingertips or holding onto his ankles daily for years to come.

Sandusky RAYPED those boys. When a straight man raypes just girls, never do we question his orientation. Sandusky is obviously gay, hence the new statutory raype charges..

    Sandusky was a football coach
Who made the game an art
    He took great joys
    In little boys
    But let's forget that part.

After all, think of all the great football games we saw from Penn State. The little boys should feel honored, being buggered by a famous coach! The man already posted bail and its only two more boys, so I'll just let him go back home.
Case Dismissed!! (whack whack) oops, I mean, bail granted.......

@222...you have no clue anout how many men or boys Sandusky has humped with over the years. Is it beyond your scope of originality to possibly concieve such a man as who would marry to conceal his gay relationship with John Bolton, fmr. US rep to the UN. Get a clue. These are cases involving gay men who are violently enflamed with lust for tight boy ass.

I've vbeen appealing with you folks to consider these men whom stalk amd raype jus boys as mere cases of statutory raype for over a year now. You have derided me and spat on me for this. Now your own CNN is reporting one of them finally being charged with child (statutory) raype. Eat crow.

Statutory is defined as an act of violence between an man and an underaged GIRL.
Marriage is defined as between an man and a woman.
The wording should be changed in both.

Gay meb lusting after tender boy butt?
    Jesus!
Another poster said, and he is correct:
"In case you don’t know it less that 1% of pedophiles are gay. Most are single, straight, white males between 18 and 35 years of age. You can Google this stuff you know? With all the info at your finger tip these days it amazes me that people like you choose to be so ignorant."

listen to the man. He sounds illiterate! How on earth did this man get a job OF ANY KIND at a school? WHO does the hiring? His reasoning skills-well-do not exist. He could barely hold a conversation with an 8 to 10 year old child-no wonder he wanted to have a relationship with them. Is there something organic-that is-not just sick/evil psychologically but physically? My daughter thinks possibly syphilis of the brain? His speech is also slurred-difficult to understand-has he had a stroke? Seriously-has he been checked for brain anomalies? Tumors? His poor vocabulary and nonexistant grammar are appalling. Gracious-does his wife also seem slow? Perhaps he cannot even be held responsible. Has he been evaluated? Had a resent change in mental status? I suggest his lawyer hustle him in to the nearest doctor ASAP. There really does seem to be something wrong with him-I am not trying to be funny! If there isn't then whoever made it possible for him to work there needs to lose their job too-the man is an embarrassment. EVEN IF INNOCENT OF ALL CHARGES, (YEAH-RIGHT), I would find it very difficult to work with him. What does the Head (not tongue in cheek-oh, maybe a little) coach say about this? YIKES! I would have a real issue with someone like that representing my shcool-even if the purest male virgin on earth. LISTEN to him! Pretend he is talking about salad, apples, whatever. DUH. Wa the? huh...am I insane? no one has even mentioned this issue.

I am reasonably confident that the reason we have our legal system is to filter out inflammatory rhetoric and closely examine the facts of any criminal charge. I say this because I am old enough to have seen people tried by racism and rhetoric – who had done nothing but be born with a different color of skin. I think the news media has done a great job of sensationalizing this situation – maybe so much that the man cannot get a fair trial. I suggest we let the Courts and law enforcement deal with this.

no one who has suffered abuse would tell their story willingly for any reason other than to seek justice. nuff said???
Meanwhile-I am having a really hard time believing that not one single boy told, no parent had a weird vibe, his wife wasn't a tiny bit curious why he had so much energy he had to take on the kids of others for "recreation". Is she dense, an airhead, a co-conspiritor or just glad he forgot about her once he had access to this endless supply of boys? That not one single, itty, bitty hint of an oddness (CAUSE HE SURE SEEMS REALLY ODD NOW!!!), unease about HIM PICKING UP A BOY OVER AND OVER AGAIN, AND ALWAYS A NEW BOY AFTER AWHILE, not one father, never a single over protective mother ever questioned a thing??? It defies logic. I just, plain do not accept that. It is totally abnormal for an unrrlated male, married and working full time, to be able to, to want to, to find the energy and time to entertain the sons of others in a regular, consistent way. This pattern would have been questioned by someone, at some time, over this long period of time. Get the truth, pull the parents in, every single one of them, until you hear the entire story. and you had best believe that his normal, adult friends, relatives, family members, work mates, geeze, even neighbors, somebody, would have noticed and begun to say-HEY-how come this busy middle=aged guy is always hanging around with pre teen boys??? duh. Something doth smell hinky here=yeah-this here story just is not right-smells to high heaven. wrong, Wrong, just plain WRONG. that-or the whole dang town is smokin' a whole lotta sumthin!!!
