Occupy movement plans to shut down ports

Protesters affiliated with the nationwide "Occupy" movement hope to shut down West Coast ports from San Diego to Alaska on Monday in an effort to "disrupt the economic machine that benefits the wealthiest individuals and corporations," according to organizers.

Ports in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Oakland, California; Portland, Oregon; Seattle and Tacoma, Washington, Vancouver, British Columbia and Anchorage, Alaska, are targets of the effort, according to the Occupy the Ports website.

Protesters are also planning to demonstrate at the port in Houston, while Salt Lake City demonstrators are also organizing to disrupt operations of a Walmart distribution facility.

OWS is bad for America. These folks need to get off their lazy behinds and get a job instead of expecting a handout. The ones skipping classes should be expelled just for being stupid. How bad their parents must feel. Wake up people, don't support these clowns, laugh at them for they are fools. They are the future trailer trash we will have to support the rest of our lives.

I try to only buy things made in USA, however, it's near impossible. Nearly everything is imported. Why? Cheaper labor. How do you make Americans work for less money? Make the things they depend on cheaper. For example, energy, food, healthcare, and housing. Unfortunately, big industry has a monopoly on all of the above (including the government itself). They set the rates, they kill the little guy. Not surprising, the top 10 most unethical companies are primarily food, oil, and transportation companies. (Watch "Inside Job")
