Egyptian presidential candidate Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh was carjacked and beaten late Thursday as he was returning from a conference, his campaign manager said.
Aboul Fotouh was being driven on a highway when a car carrying masked gunmen intercepted him, said Ali Behnasawy, the campaign manager.
The suspects pulled the driver out of the car and beat him with their guns. Aboul Fotouh tried to intervene and he was also beaten, Behnasawy said. The gunmen then stole the car and fled.

Nice to know carjacking is a global crime...
Lol
Now Aboul knows why some millionaires drive in a Rent-A-Wreck instead of a limo.
Did you hear about the blonde who went to the nudist camp for a game of strip poker ?
Remember when all of the dumb blonde jokes were Polack jokes?
You mean like
Why did the Polock throw the clock out the window ? Because he wanted time to fly.
How many Polocks does it take to change a lightbulb ? 3 - One to hold the lightbulb, and the other two to turn the ladder.
eyc. etc. etc.
Yes, Rawr, *exactly* like that.
Did you hear about the blonde who brought her cosmetics because she had a make-up exam ?
Now that one made me laugh.
I'm STILL not going to try the veal!
Welcome to the democratic world, Egypt.
This has nothing to do with democracy. Such crimes are happening on our democratic soil & every which place everyday.
@ Bombo
Thats a good one. The best I have seen today. Pl disregard my 1:29 post written in a fuzzy state of mind.
No problem. People forget democracy is a journey, not a destination. Candidate killings and intimidation still exist rarely in Western democracies, but were much more common once. Candidates still disappear in Eastern Europe, and they've been nominally democratic for a quarter century now. There are going to be incidents like this in Egypt, and it's going to be fairly common for a while.
Hi @ banasy @ bobcat.
We have caused paradigms of democracy, liberty & freedom to mutate in the past decade. Our actions belie the principles.
"Welcome to the Democratic world".
