What is going on with all these helicopter crashes, both Military and non-military ? It's very sad indeed, but it is creepy.

It was one of the flight crew, either the Flight Mechanic or Rescue Swimmer. The press obviously doesn't know the difference. Our HH-65 was on a routine training mission when it went down.

Helicopters are not meant to fly and need a lot of maintenance in order to stay airborne. Coupled with being much more demanding than a plane and there will always be more crashs than in fixed wing. Lets hope they find the others.

There are more things that can go wrong with a helicopter than there are things.

Thank You. It so sad to read comments and it's bashing when people do not realize what the CG or others do.

Helicopter flight crews are trained very well for water survival, especially the Coasties. I hope they find them well.
