American, British NGO workers will be leaving Egypt 'shortly,' official says

A group of American and British non-governmental organization workers accused of fomenting unrest in Egypt will be leaving the country "shortly," an Interior Ministry spokesman said Thursday.

The accused were detained as part of a crackdown on pro-democracy, non-government groups, which Egyptian officials say is part of a pattern of foreign interference stoking unrest.

The list of charges includes the unapproved conducting of political training and opinion polls - and sending reports to the United States.

The workers are charged with operating in Egypt without being officially registered and receiving foreign funding.

    Ah, McCain's visit worked.
Apparently he is a better negotiator than he gave himself credit for.

Even better, send him to Afghanistan to negotiate with Talibans. Egypt is still a 'cake walk'.

This had to cost the American people a lot of money. They probably lifted all restrictions and they'll continuet to get their dole from us through the UN ... not counting all the extras. College will be free for all the children of the boss of the Brotherhoods.

What exactly their mission in Egypt? They would tell you to improve democracy and help Egypt, but why they operated illegitimately then? Again, the question that CNN nor any body in the USA would NOT answer, because their racist scope is:, would the US government release workers caught working in the United States without work visas, receive unknown finance, and do not report any of their activities for tax purposes? Would the CNN take this question to the US administration? By the way, Naom Chomsky called the US foreign policy the Distorted Morality? US administration always
ask Arab countries to apply standards that they refuse to apply in the USA. Later you ask and wonder why people hate USA!!! I think that USA successfully managed to improve democracy, it is democracy of hate. Shame on US administration.

Now, when do we stop the billions in aid we waste there?

What billions in aid are you talking about, Egypt has a treaty solely with Isreal and US.
Its partnership with Israel buisness concerns has a special Favored Nation Status, and EGypt under Carter brokered Peace Accords gives Israel cheap oil inreturn of Sinai fields that Israel had captured.
60 to 70 percent of all so cslled AID Dollars never leaves the pockets of US corporates.
Muslim Brotherhood is a Pan Arab Nationalistic movement.
    Ah what's the use, americans!
