Andrew Breitbart, a well-known conservative blogger, has died, his attorney confirmed Thursday. He was 43.
Breitbart was also known as a pundit on conservative television shows and got his start helping to run the original right-wing online media behemoth, the Drudge Report, then started his own website.
Breitbart was the first to post the infamous Twitter photos of U.S. Rep Anthony Weiner last year, in which the congressman appeared barechested and in his underpants. Weiner eventually stepped down amid the scandal.
An In Memoriam post on his website breitbart.tv said that it was with a "terrible feeling of pain and loss" that they announces his death.
"Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles," the post said. "We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior. Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love."
According to the post, in a new conclusion to one of his books, he wrote about how much he loved his job and fighting for what he believed in.
Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:
"Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us," the post stated.

breitbart exposed issues like anthony wiener, pigford, acorn, etc that SHOULD be open and debated by americans of all political persuasions. My only hope is that any person reading these posts, who is in any way ambivalent about their political leaning, should glean much from the vile hatred spewing from self professed liberal, open minded thinkers and chose accordingly

It's divisive, hate-filled people like yourself that have us all at each other's throats as opposed to finding common ground. Uh, he at least twice failed to bother doing the followup of watching the un-edited tapes of what he put forward... and both times the footage had been edited to make people say things they didn't say. He was nowhere near a professional or a journalist.
Perhaps if he were less mean-spirited in life, others would be less mean-spirited in his death.
There is a lot of sad commentary amongst these posts. No matter where you are on the political spectrum, be it the radical left or the radical right, we're all Americans first and foremost. I pity those of you that have so much hate in your hearts ... and we wonder why the nation is so divided.

I didn't know the man, but I don't celebrate death (other than the truly evil such as OBL, etc.) because I view human life as a precious, valuable thing. I do have great sympathy for his wife and four children. I can only imagine the pain they're feeling right now.
