Andrew Breitbart, well-known conservative blogger, dead at 43

Andrew Breitbart, a well-known conservative blogger, has died, his attorney confirmed Thursday. He was 43.

Breitbart was also known as a pundit on conservative television shows and got his start helping to run the original right-wing online media behemoth, the Drudge Report, then started his own website.

Breitbart was the first to post the infamous Twitter photos of U.S. Rep Anthony Weiner last year, in which the congressman appeared barechested and in his underpants. Weiner eventually stepped down amid the scandal.

An In Memoriam post on his website breitbart.tv said that it was with a "terrible feeling of pain and loss" that they announces his death.

"Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles," the post said. "We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior. Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love."

According to the post, in a new conclusion to one of his books, he wrote about how much he loved his job and fighting for what he believed in.

Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:

"Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us," the post stated.

Tragic that he died so young, but even more tragic that he chose to live his life with so much hate when he could have used his voice for the greater good of his fellow man.

I said this nicely before, but I will say it not so nicely now: You hateful, heartless, self righteous little trolls. Just who are you to "rejoice" over someone's death at a young age? You make me sick. Watch out, because "karma" will get you in the end, as you feel it got this man.
Incidentially, I neither know nor care what someone's politics are. I find it heartbreaking to hear of someone dying so young, and if your mothers had taught you manners and decency, so would you.

You cant possibly back this man for the things he has said and then talk about karma in the same breath. He has said some horrible things, not all of them true, but many of them hurtful, damaging, and at times down right cruel.

If you actually believe in karma, then maybe, just maybe, if you are divisive, hateful, biased and, as I said before, sometimes downright cruel person...well, maybe karma DID play a role.

A ferocious warrior against the Truth.

Rush Limbaugh is also a fellow warrior of the same ilk,

    Things always happen in two's.

Many of the people commenting here are quite disgusting. To hatefully celebrate the death of someone you disagree with politically is as low as someone can sink.

And yet both sides of the fence wonder how we got to where we are. They should take a look in the mirror!

Amazing how there is a ton of speculation in articles about how people died, with even some hint as to how it happened if there is no direct evidence.

It will be interesting to see what the cause of death was. At 43 there are only a few things that could take you out, unless you have some kind of terminal illness or disease that no one was aware of. Breitbart didnt strike me as the kind of guy who wouldnt spread it around if he did.

Andrew Breitbart ruined Shirley Sherrod's career dishonestly. He never let truth or honesty get in his way to tell a story he made up. He will always be remembered appropriately.

GOOD! God deplores a racist and will exact his vengeance against those who testify falsely to hurt others.
1 down and 3 GOP candidates to go. Are you listening Santorum? Gingrich? Paul?

Hey, Dick Cheney, how YOU doing today?

Wow ... openly wishing for the death of people for disagreeing with you politicaly. You're quite the human being. I bet your parents are proud of the person they raised.

Nobody expects anybody to be perfect, but I think it's right to expect someone to do more good than bad, and to love more than they hate. It's hard to mourn the death of a person who seems to have brought more negativity and hate to society. Logically you would think that without the net negative influence society is better off. Maybe he was a good guy in his personal life, but in the public sphere he spewed hate. It's not hard to believe that people who only saw his influence in the public sphere aren't mourning his death.

Reading the disgusting comments of some liberal dems on this site is just another reason in a growing list to distance myself from them and their rapidity. It's getting rediculous.

banasy, I got the sophmorish play on words. That wasn't what I was referring to. He/She appears to struggle with structuring complete sentences. That's the problem.

Romney? Extreme??? Are you kidding me? Romney leans to the left on some issues, and he leans to the right on others. Perhaps you need to do some research on the meaning of the word, "extreme".
