Andrew Breitbart, well-known conservative blogger, dead at 43

Andrew Breitbart, a well-known conservative blogger, has died, his attorney confirmed Thursday. He was 43.

Breitbart was also known as a pundit on conservative television shows and got his start helping to run the original right-wing online media behemoth, the Drudge Report, then started his own website.

Breitbart was the first to post the infamous Twitter photos of U.S. Rep Anthony Weiner last year, in which the congressman appeared barechested and in his underpants. Weiner eventually stepped down amid the scandal.

An In Memoriam post on his website breitbart.tv said that it was with a "terrible feeling of pain and loss" that they announces his death.

"Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles," the post said. "We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior. Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love."

According to the post, in a new conclusion to one of his books, he wrote about how much he loved his job and fighting for what he believed in.

Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:

"Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us," the post stated.

As a human being, I am sorry for the loss for his family and friends. However I will not miss his venomous half bake undercover stories, destroying a truly great movement and destroying lives on giving half truths that idiots buy into including the president of the united states. He was a mean spirited man with plenty of hate and no compassion, now G*d will judge him. I too am not buying the story of natural causes either.

The Omnipotent One that sees all and does all. I Believe with all my heart and soul that He exists. G*d is not fair but He is Just. If you do not believe in G*d that is your business, He gave you free will. I will not push my faith on someone else, and they should not push their faith or what they believe in on me. DO YOU GET THAT RICKY IDIOT SANTORUM!!!!!

I know you're all in a rush to put the story out, but get your grammar right!!!!!!!
    – Breitbart was also known as a taking head ...?
    – An In Memoriam post on his website ....?

No wonder journalism has gone down the tube.

Since both sentences are correct maybe you need to rethink your criticism...

"In Memoriam" In memoriam, a Latin phrase that translates directly as 'in memory of', don't know what a "taking head" is. guess it is supposed to be talking head.

Hooray! Make no bones about it. The world is a better place today. Now if the world could rid itself of a few more wing nuts like him paradise would be just beyond the horizon. It is truly a good good day!

Even as someone who really despised his political views it's a sad day to learn that he passed so young. I always enjoyed hearing his outlandish rants (in my opinion) and he was always up for a good argument. With someone who was obviously tightly wound I wonder if stress/heart attack was the cause. I gave up being a political junky years ago, it's unhealthy.

Zac- by harboring unrealistic levels of animosity toward your fellow man. Peddling hate causes some strain on the old ticker...

Maybe he can apologize to Ted Kennedy now. Nah, they never actually apologize and mean it.

I'm indifferent. He wasn't a journalist. He was a vicious and malicious dog who kept the pot stirred.

Wait for the chorus of liberals to come out and cr@p on the dead guy with typical liberal classlessness. Good work, idiots. Show the world what you're really made of.

You guys are so angry you hate people for doing things they haven't even done. It's fun to watch your entire political party fall apart though, keep up the good work!

NFN, but when you hear about someone dying at 43, and then immediately hear "natural causes" it makes you wonder what natural causes really means.

It doesn't seem like there should be any natural causes that cause the death of anyone under 70. Unless you consider a safe dropping on someone "natural".
