Gaza-Israel violence enters 4th day

Gaza City (CNN) - Five people were killed Monday in Gaza, the latest deaths in days of airstrikes that marked the worst escalation of violence in the coastal territory in months, Palestinian officials said.

Israel has said its airstrikes have targeted militant rocket launching sites across the Palestinian territory in response to more than 100 rocket attacks from Gaza into Israel since Friday.

At least 23 people have been killed in strikes since Friday, while at least 75 people have been wounded.

Three civilians and two militants were killed in what Palestinian medical officials said were Israeli airstrikes Monday.

Israel needs violence and intends to escalate it. Israel not receiving the co-operation from the US with hopes of an Iranian war, is in plan B mode kill in Gaza with hopes the proxies will retaliate, if / when they resistance answers back with violence Israel can then blame Iran fro funding the proxies and have greater support for an Iranian war. Not far fetched, especially considering Israel's history of fabricating victim hood.

If it's Israel who needs violence HOW COME Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah and other similar "freedom fighting" organizations co-operate with Israeli wishes by starting and prolonging violence? In addition, HOW COME it was Israel that OFFERED peace to the Arabs since 1948 and that it were the Arabs who REJECTED it every single time?

    You said it.
Tragic & sad. Somehow (??) we have still to come to terms with reality and get down in earnest to resolving this issue festering for decades. A just, equitable and peaceful resollution of this issue has deliberately been avoided by us, yes by us with our blind one sided & lop sided policy in this region.
We are prepared to go in , bomb countries and arm resistance movements all over M.East but keep our eye averted from this most pressing iof all issues.
Long live the powerful foreign lobbies and special interests controlling our destiny and lives in this country of ours.
