Gotta Watch: Wild antics on 'Toddlers and Tiaras'

Alana Thompson is the 6-year-old known as “Honey Boo Boo Child” on TLC’s “Toddlers and Tiaras.” Her huge personality and hilarious antics made her a favorite on the reality show, but she and her mother have also been the subject of several controversies this year. Alana has been seen using “pageant crack” and dancing on a bar. Yesterday, mother June Shannon defended her daughter on HLN. You’ve Gotta Watch this pageant family.

Not a ‘sleazy bar’

Alana Thompson’s mom sets the record straight on the notorious video showing the little girl dancing on a bar for dollars. Learn why she defends the event.

Bar dancing

If you missed the video that caused this controversy in the first place, we’ve got it for you. This YouTube video shows Alana dancing on top of a bar. You’ve got to see what she’s wearing.

‘Pageant crack’

How do those tiara-wearing toddlers get so peppy onstage? Many of them inhale sugary Pixie Stix to get an energy boost. Watch to decide what’s in Honey Boo Boo’s mysterious “go-go juice.” CNN’s Anderson Cooper pokes fun at the practice on his RidicuList.

This mother is a disgrace! Intoducing her young child to this enviroment and allowing the child to entertain in an adult setting, drinking and tipping the child...SHAME ON YOU! come one what part of this is right? Pedophile Paradise & teaser (nothing like putting the candy jar in front of a pedophile)!! This mom needs a wake up call!! There are other places more appropriate to share her daughters talent: day cares, schools, child friendly settings, etc. BUT A BAR??? and DANCING on TABLES in a BAR??? Collecting tips??

Totally agree. This child should be taken away from these "parents", who are just in this because THEY could never have been in a pageant. Most of them are obese and have no teeth. It's disgusting!

I agree. The mother has some loose screws upstairs. No child should be expected to mock a shameless woman, putting her body on display for money. The whole thing is just as sordid and sleazy as can be.

You cannot change a human behavior by mocking them or yelling at them. If you want to hit someone, hit the sponsors!

When my daughters were young I would get brochures for these pageants in the mail. They immediately went into the trash can. There was no way I was ever going to get my girls involved in all that ridiculousness!

Man, these women need to be stopped. It's all for them – as far as kids "liking" it, kids that age don't know what they like from one day to the next. I don't think the little girl is that atteactive to begin with – the make up makes her look worse. And surely the pixie stick/mountain dew combo will have her looking just like her mother in no time – not healthy AT ALL

Mother?...what mother? the mother said "whatever Alana wants to do." Mother's call the choices for a child this age. So you take your child to a bar that "Momsy" claims isn't really a sleeze bar (even though it's a bar) and you put your lipsticked, made up kid up on the bar to sing....because the kid wants to. You get her "hopped up" with Mountain Dew and/or/Pixy sticks, Chocolate syrup or whatever stimulants and Bingo! She is a star in her addled mother's mind. "Mommy Dearest" will not understand when her little girl starts walking the streets when she is 12 or 13 either. Or perhaps dabbles in drugs and binges on alcohol. Where is her local Youth and Family Services at a time like this??

I'm afraid she'll see thousands of dollars of "gin and juice" and prescription medications

To the mother: Your child is dancing on the bar, in high heels, short skirt, receiving tips dancing to a provocative song. You can't defend that one no matter how you try to clean it up. Are trying to live your life through your daughter?

I've heard that the Toddler's and Tiara's pudgy brat Eden will soon be getting her own reality show. Can the Apocalypse be far behind?
