Sandusky hearing postponed because of ongoing probe

Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky briefly appeared in a Pennsylvania courtroom Thursday before the judge adjourned the hearing, saying that court decisions will be postponed because the grand jury investigation is still ongoing.

Pennsylvania Superior Court Judge John Cleland said deliberations Thursday would be "premature," after Sandusky's attorney called for child sex abuse charges to be dropped over a lack of more specific evidence regarding the alleged victims.

Attorney Joe Amendola also withdrew motions accusing police of entering Sandusky's home illegally.

Just exactly what is this "ongoing investigation" being conducted by the grand jury ? Are they trying to disprove the claims of the victims ? Sounds like a crock to me.

Grand juries are made up of citizens just like you and me. They are not necessarily versed in the law, but must decide if there is "probable cause" to indict the accused of all crimes the prosecutor brings against the defendant. In this case, it's important to get it right so the accused doesn't wall on a technicality!

That's interesting...If he does "wall" on a technicality, would it be a cement wall?
    Wood and sheetrock?
    Maybe a rock wall?

Penn State is full of gorgeous college girls. (duh) What would motivate a man to walk right past them and head straight for the mens showers? Every crime has a motive.

@Portland Tony. We know it was a typo, and appreciate your comment. Your post is even a good explanation as to why Usama Bin Laden was never indicted for doing 9/11. Most assume he was.

Let's say he humped on us too and make some dough. But what if forensics shows no Jerry stains? Maybe we better not. Let's threaten Mrs. Sandusky with telling on her for having an affair with one of her husbands b/f's. She's got cash. Any ya know she doesn't want that getting out.
