Gotta Watch: Heroic crimestoppers

If you witnessed a crime happening right in front of you would you have the nerve to stop it? It's easy to say yes, but think about it. You'd have to be pretty brave to just jump in to try and thwart an evil-doer.

Recently, a hit-and-run suspect was caught on camera striking a bicyclist on a bridge in Pennsylvania. You've gotta watch how the would-be culprit was stopped by the quick thinking of a transit bus driver.

And check out how these other crime stoppers mustered up their nerve and made the split-second decision to answer the call of duty.

Bus blocks hit-and-run driver

A teenage driver attempted to flee the scene of an accident after striking a cyclist on the Fahy Bridge in Pennsylvania. A bus driver takes action, but watch watch who else steps up to trap the teen and put a stop to the getaway.

Clerk stops fast-food robbery

A man leaped through a drive-through window at a Burger King attempting to steal money from the cash register. Watch how the surprised female clerk stands her ground and takes the suspect down.

Two MMA fighters foil robbery attempt

A man attempting to rob a Los Angeles hotel didn't account for the MMA fighters that happened to be in the lobby. Watch how a broken hotel key played a role in stopping the assailant mid-getaway.

  2. I'm riding on a bike

I'm riding on a bike and I'm in your way. I'm on a major road with traffic whizzing by at 70 mph and I'm riding along at 20 mph making everryone angry and creating a hazard. I'm riding on a bike and there's nothing you can do about it. I'm pretending it's China. Ha ha.

Stay to the right of the road and you'll be fine.
What the hell are you doing on a highway, anyway?
Most bikes are prohibited on the highway.
      You're breaking the law.
Off to the pokey you go!

Its called duel responsibility for BOTH the driver of the car and the cyclist, as a avid cyclist you are always or should be on guard for everything even the insects that can get in your eyes but the cyclist has to be even more so vigilant in riding than a motorcyclist this could of been avoided! Even by the driver

Angry drivers out there – please learn your local laws. In most states, bike are allowed on local roads unless otherwise indicated. It's illegal to ride bikes on sidewalks – you have to walk them if you use the sidewalk. This was a bridge for a local road crossing a river, not a highway, and with no bike lane, the bike had legal authority to occupy the right lane.

Really? How are cyclists supposed to get around? They have every right to ride on those roads, same as you.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see that the bus driver apparently did not get into trouble with his superiors.
