Parole denied for Manson

A California panel denied parole for Charles Manson and scheduled his next parole hearing 15 years from now, setting up the possibility that he could die in prison.

Manson, 77, initially was sentenced to death for the 1969 slayings of actress Sharon Tate and six others by a group of his followers as part of what prosecutors said was an attempt to incite a race war. His death sentence was changed to life in prison after California's death penalty was overturned for a period during the 1970s.

He should have been put to death and saved the tax payers a bunch of money.
He is a prime example of someone that should have been aborted at birth.

Death penalty in California was abolished AFTER they gave him the death penalty.

Do you know it actually cost 1 million dollars more to kill someone than it does to keep them in prison for life. thats 1 million more tax payer dollars and 1 million less going to education for young people. The combination of drugs and appeals you must give to an inmate on death row is soo expensive. Plus dying is the easy way out keep him in Ad Seg for the rest of his life.

With the swastika on the forehead, he'd most likely be a Republican spawn.

OMG too funny! Beard n all , lol.
Manson would never be able to survive in the outside world today. His crimes were horrific and he deserved the death penalty. Now at least we know he'll die in prison....someday.

I agree that Manson should not be given parole. The funny thing is, though, if he were granted parole I would bet that certain people would be salivating over the reality TV show possibilities. Lots of the same people calling for his continued incarceration would watch the show. Within two years, he would be beloved by a disturbingly large number of underinformed people.

You know I was there at that time, and I don't recall anything about the group trying to start a race war.. are they now trying to re-write history. Charlie was a street wise con man who was in and out of jail even before the canyon. Later on we used to see Squeaky walking the streets of Sacramento until she had her run in with the law.

They weren't out on the streets trying to start stuff; this is just some weird stuff they believed among themselves. Everyone was more concerned about the Children of God cult than a few Mansonites.

You must have not read Helter Skelter. It reads more like a police report...kinda boring actually, but it was part of his "plan". That is one reason they wrote the N word in blood at one scene. It's been awhile since I read it, but reading interviews with some of his Family, said that he was trying to stir up a race war..may not be the best words for it.

O1) Charlie was waiting for a race war to start. It wasn't going fast enough to suit him he the masterminded these murders, hoping that it would start a war, where the black people would win. Of course, according to Charlie, the black people would not be able to run the country, so CM and his "family" would rise up and take over the country. I am not even kidding. This is all well doc umented.
      2) Lynette Fromme did not participate in the murders. She did, however, "get in trouble" with the law, after she pulled a gun on President Ford, all the while keeping intouch with CM. There has been speculation that he may have ordered that, but has never been charged.

There is no revisionist history going on, only what CM and his band of merry nuts have done.

There are many books about this subject.
Please pick one up and read it.
