384 prisoners escape after Taliban raid on Pakistan prison

Authorities in northern Pakistan were looking for 384 inmates who escaped from a prison early Sunday morning after 300 Taliban militants raided it.

The attack took place in the city of Bannu in northwest Pakistan, an area known for a heavy militant presence.

Iftikhar Khan, a senior police official in Bannu, said the attack lasted more than two hours and wounded three prison officials.

Of the 944 prisoners the facility held, 384 escaped, he said. Among them were two who were awaiting execution.

One, Adnan Rashid, had been found guilty in the attempted murder of former President Pervez Musharraf in 2003. The other, Safi Ullah, was convicted of several bombings in northern Pakistan in recent years, officials said.

The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, according to Aasim Mehsud, a spokesman for the group in South Waziristan.

Nothing to see here. Secret Service agents and special ops troops often recon the local population.
We shopped around but got the best deal at a five star hotel.
The media are always invited because they never tell.
This conduct, by sheer volume, is in keeping with the morality and high standards of the not so secret service.

Obama says this is just a distraction. I will increase the size of the secret service and find better accommodations so these men don't miss their wives so much. And to save the taxpayers money.

As the presumptive nominee let me just say that we should increase the number of troops in Afghanistan and make a commitment to keep troops deployed there indefinitely.
We should take a hard look at preemtively attacking Pakistan with a timetable of months not years.
Lets make Karachi a fun place to visit once again.

If Usama Bin Laden had been found hiding in Little Rock, blame all of Arkansas? Yep. You would.

Good think Usama not found in China. Would blame China for hiding Bin Laden no more Wal-Mart or social security checks. (since March of last year, the first month in the history of the SS administration where it could not afford to meet it's obligations, loans froom China have been making our social security payments. Say thanks to Chinaman grandma nad grandpa, SS disability scammers, and any lawyers making a living off of suing the SSA. Nobody else, just the SSA.
