Gotta Watch: Devoted dogs

Few bonds are stronger than the one between a dog and its master. In fact, the second most popular video last week was a piece by CNN's Jeanne Moos that shows just that. It got us thinking about some of our other favorite videos showing just how devoted man's best friend can be. You've Gotta Watch these loyal pets.

Man's best friend is dog's best friend, too

Dogs are not only man's best friend, they're pretty loyal to each other, as well. CNN's Jeanne Moos found several dogs whose devotion is simply amazing. Watch the video to see acts of canine heroism like you've never seen before.

Dog mourns loss of Navy SEAL

One of the more touching displays of a dog's devotion happened in August 2011. While family and friends mourned the death of Navy SEAL Jon Tumilson, his dog did, too. Watch the video to see what happened.

Dog remains faithful to dead owner

Many of you responded to the story of Wayne Giroux and his dog, Spot. Giroux died in 2010. Watch this video to see how Spot showed his love for his owner months after he died.

A cynical man lives like a dog. The word cynic literally means 'lives like a dig'. From the latin for canine. I can tell you the story of the world's first cynic if ya want. He was an ancient Greek university professor where taught was that the earth was a hemisphere riding on four larhe elephants riding on the back of a giant sea turtle swimming through the universe. (as far as they got, though they did estimate how much weight ea. elephant leg supported, a study costing millions at todays exchange rate) Also taught was the today's theory that you can tell how much God likes you by how wealthy you are. That one old professor challenged this theory, and proved it wrong.

It's the same thing they done to lady America after burning their bras in the 60s. Look at her now. Not through the tunnel vision, in the eyes of all of mankind. Really, it's common knowledge this I speak of, the image of America. Why deny the link between men letting women think they are getting their own way and the same lawmakers making dangerous pharmaceuticals more readily available...at the same time. Even your soaps have episodes where the man lets the woman think it was her idea. Well. Pay attention.

Men have always made the laws of this country. True, many of them act as if they think like pregnant women wishing to be free of this lump for votes' sake, and many others actually DO think like a woman even in bed. And then there are the lawmaker men whom cheat on their wives and think getting rid of the evidence might not be such a bad idea after all, especially considering how much the MLk foundation doles out to his illegitimate childrens children's chiidren. Foundations are out of most congressmans reach.

      Ah! The conundrum!
Men should not be allowed to make a law about something they themselves will never personally experience by reason of being the wrong gender.

Soap opera, like many things posted here, are a thing of the past, as there are no longer many housewives at home; they are out working because of the economic times we are experiencing.
This is a new retelling of a story posted by you a while back.
    It will probably change again.
    Who the hell cares?

    We're here.
Hijackers, trolls, and lurkers have ruined the blogging experience here, Philip.
Not the people here who talk to each other, of BOTH genders.
I don't know what got you all wound up this time, but snarky innuendos does a disservice to every one of us here, not just the ones you personally hate.

I wasn't giving you my opinion of what happened when bored housewives decended upon our wonderful news CHATROOMS. I was simply giving you an eyewitness accounting. Really. Before long, people were hardly discussing anything of value...anything newsworthy. Gossip and obscene jesting became the norm. That, and the traditional bottom of the barrel henpecking that goes on late at night/early am.

Of which you are a part on, judging by the time of your post.
Again, there are many websites who will cater to your particular needs.
I suggest going to find one.

As for newsworthy, this topic is about dogs.

Pericles....... Caesar once seeing some strangerd in Rome, carrying up and down with them in their arms and bosoms young puppy dogs and monkeys, embracing and making much of them, took occasion not unnaturly to ask wether tje women in their country were not used to bear children; by that reprimand a reflection upon persons who spend lavious upon brute beast that agffection and kindness which nature has implanted in us to be bestowed on thode of our own kind.
