The Colorado legislature met Monday in extraordinary session to consider a number of bills that were not brought to the floor last week, chief among them a civil-unions bill that has strong bipartisan support.
House Speaker Frank McNulty, who opposes civil unions, made no secret that he also opposed the special session, which was called by Gov. John Hickenlooper, a Democrat.
"Planting corn today," the Republican speaker tweeted on Sunday. "What I should be doing tomorrow insread (sic) of a special session for the legislature."
He expressed similar sentiments on Monday, when he tweeted, "Special legislative session on same sex marriage brought to you by Colorado Gov @hickforco and cost picked up by Colorado families."
But the bill is not about same-sex marriage, which is banned under Colorado's constitution. Instead, it is about civil unions. And that was not the only bill that Hickenlooper said he wished would have passed during the regular session.

They need to realize that government protects the rights for all people:
i.e. – Civil marriage in a court should be allowed between man and woman, man and man, or woman and woman.
Each religion has its own right whether to recognize said marriage within its walls. Religion is merely a "social club."

being gay is an illness comparable to adhd or bipolar disorder. its a chemical imbalance in the brain.(most gay people claim they were born that way- so was that kid with adhd.) being gay can be fixed the same way as adhd is fixed- being declared disruptive to the classroom and put in special ed while made to ride the short bus and force fed medication until the gayness goes away. There is no such thing as bi. you are either gay or not gay. if you are attracted to the same s3x you are gay wether or not you are attracted to the opposite s3x. the same is true for so called transgendered people. if you are a man not even the most extensive surgery will turn you into a functioning woman. instead you will be turned into a neutered gay freakshow.

Now you are stating marriage is a three-some involving a man, a woman and god. Last I recall, according to some religions, man was made in the image of god (thus god would be a man). Therefore, your concept of marriage is between a man, a woman, and another man.

Colorado Springs had a lezbian mayor a few years back, fmr. Mayor Makepeace. (yes, her real name) By the time she was done with our town, our city hospital was nearly bancrupt from providing health services for city employees gay partners...gays don't just suffer from hiv ya know, it's just the most expensive ill-health they have. Anyway, we booted her out for lying to us, and we recalled ea. and every gay city council member, and elected new ones without personal agendas.
Hmmm...if I recall correclty, it was the hospital that sent a letter to teh mayors office regarding the ownership of the hospital. They asked to be remain under control of the community but asked for improvements to be made. A simple search also reveals that the hospital never declared or filed for banruptcy.
