4.3 quake shakes up East Texas

A 4.3-magnitude earthquake rattled eastern Texas early Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake, at a depth of three miles, was centered near Timpson, about 155 miles east-southeast of Dallas, according to the USGS.  It struck at 3:12 a.m. (4:13 a.m. ET).

At least one building in Timpson showed damage, with a number of bricks falling to the street below, CNN affiliate KLTV in Tyler, Texas, reported.

Ollie Barrett told KLTV that bricks from her chimney came crashing through her roof.

"There was a loud rumbling noise and then there was a lot of crashing," she said. Her 52-inch, wall-mounted TV was crushed.

One woman was injured when she fell out of bed and cut her arm, CNN affiliate KSLA in nearby Shreveport, Louisiana, reported.

And the Shelby County sheriff's office had reports of broken windows from the temblor, dispatcher Karen Shield told CNN.

The quake was the second to hit the area in a week.  A 3.9 quake shook Timpson May 10.

Thursday morning's earthquake was the third-strongest in East Texas history, KLTV reported, surpassed only by quakes in 1957 and 1964.

Cliff Frohlich, a University of Texas scientist, said it's possible the most recent quakes are related to energy production activity in the area.

"There are some injection wells in the part of the country where these earthquakes occurred," Frolich told CNN. "If they were very close to an injection well, that would suggest they were."

Injection wells are used in the disposal of dirty water from energy production, Frohlich said.

Frohlich said injection wells should not be confused with fracking, a process which involves injecting water, sand and some chemicals deep into the earth to crack shale rock, which frees oil and gas.

"Fracking almost never causes quakes," Frohlich said.

*check that. One federal judge from Portugal (might have been Spain) did issue a warrant for Usama Bin Laden for questioning, not based on any evidence, for it was 'lack of evidence' being the reaon not one US judge issued a warrant. However, Bin Laden was gunned-down for being a suspect before Portugese authorities (or Spanish, I forget) could question him. This sorta thing used to happen a lot in Chicago's gangster days, ditto 1800s Tombstone Az

  4. Truth about EQs

At sea lebel, the static pressure excerted on the earths surface at sea level is 14.696 psi. As the industrial revolution began pumping pollutants into our atmosphere, the shade from the pollution made it so it takes water longer to evaporate. Ea. year, the world over, it takes water longer and longer to evaporate, lowering the actual pressure being excerted upon the earths surface. This allows for the earth to expand ever so slightly, allowing for more, and more devastating, EQs.
Evaporating water over our oceans is also the engine that drives our weather system. Perhaps some of you folks have noticed our weather going a little crazy lately?

And the only reason we allowed them to, was so they's shut the hell up about it! Go ahead and burn your brazziers. Keep that corset on though, would ya! Damn leaky roof anyway. Slap a patch on it and go about yer rat killin'.

HALLIBURTON, the inventors of the fraccing (fracturing) process in the 1950s, was given roughly 100 billion dollars to rebuild the Iraq your war machine tore down. Notice Iraq isn't rebuilt. Also notice HALLIBUTONS parent, The Carlyle Group (founded by the Bush and bin Laden families who owned thousand of worthless Caspian Basin oil&Ng wells needing fracced to bring them back online) now own thousands of refurbished wells, with oil flowing to China via Afghan pipelines once an American citizen (Karzai) became President of Afghanistan and allowed it, and natural gas flowing to huge Ng fired powerplants in India built with the funds ENRON (also a Carlyle Group corp) scammed from YOU! You all have been had.

  9. Obama AND Romney

One is the leader, and one will be the next leader. Both believe in God. If you think that only ignorant people believe in God, who ya gonna vote for?
Get your own candidate you athiests and agnostics. How dare you vote for one of our guys. (believers)
What hypocricy! Claiming there is no God and then voting for a believer.

So you feel that atheists should be disenfranchised because each of the controlling political parties chose to nominate a theist. Not a big believer in Democracy then?

Now, look on your world map. Notice that Afghanistan does border China. Try and view sattelite images of that narrow strip of land. Oops! You can no-more zoom in on that little patch of land packed with pipleines as you can Area 51.
China pays 27 dollars per barrel for oil running through those lines. Oil purchsed from the Bush-Bin Laden Group's Caspian Basin holdings that would have remained worthless if not for HALLIBURTON refurbishing them with YOUR tax dollars. (see above posts for more on this)
Really. US troops aren't in Afghanistan fighting for God&Country as Bush&Obama claim! They are no-more than a security force guarding those pipleines from locals who don't get a penny.

If they are so worried about the pipelines being seen, why aren't they underground? Why aren't they camoflauged? Where is your proof of $27 a barrel oil for China when everyone pays 4 times that? Ramble on my friend cuz no one is listening
