High-ranking officials at Penn State are accused of giving inconsistent testimony to a grand jury as well as not turning over a secret file containing allegations that Jerry Sandusky was acting inappropriately, according to court documents obtained by CNN.
"The file was created, maintained and possessed by Gary Schultz," according to the document.
Penn State's former vice president for finance and business, Gary Schultz, who also oversaw the college's police department, and former Athletic Director Tim Curley face charges including perjury and failure to report abuse in the scandal. The court documents say the file contains information that is inconsistent with Schultz's and Curley's previous statements to grand jury regarding the Sandusky case.
"The commonwealth has come into possession of computer data (again, subpoenaed long ago but not received from PSU until after the charges had been filed in this case) in the form of e-mails between Schultz, Curley and others that contradict their testimony before the Grand Jury,” the document states.
The motion filed by the attorney general accuses Pennsylvania State University officials of keeping a file with previously unknown details about the child sex abuse allegations against Sandusky. The attorney general's office claims the officials also withheld subpoenaed evidence.
CNN's Susan Candiotti reports that the documents bring up questions about what school officials knew about allegations against Sandusky, when they knew it and what they told authorities during their investigation.
The details emerged on the second day of Sandusky's trial, when the the alleged victim whose allegations triggered the criminal investigation is expected to take the stand. He is one of 10 boys who, prosecutors say, were sexually abused by the Nittany Lions' longtime defensive coordinator over a span of 15 years. Sandusky's trial on 52 charges is expected to continue for about three weeks.

Can this info please clear JoePa of any wrongdoing? As I've been saying this whole time, he clearly informed Tim Curley and Gary Schultz (the proper authorities to notify) of what he knew and they didn't do a thing.
When nothing was done he should have gone to the police and let them handle it. If the ball was dropped at that point he could say he did everything (legally) possible to help those children.
It is a felony for Curley and Shultz, they knew what Sandusky did,they covered it up together with Penn State police.
It was his legal responsibility to go to the police not his boss. He is an e equal co conspirator, this provides that all federal money should be perminatly pulled from Penn state

I have said it since the beginning. Gary Schultz was aware of the 1998 investigation, and had the most responsibility in 2002 to push for Sandusky to get charged. What a failure of a human being.
Then would you all go as far to say that the enablers (the ones who covered it up) should receive a harsher sentence?
Unfortunately, the law can only give the maximum for the charge they face if convicted.

Amendola was asked why Sandusky still showered with young boys after 1998 when police had told him not to —and he told them he wouldn’t.
“He viewed that more as an admonition, not an order,” Amendola said. “He didn’t think there was anything wrong with it.” Amendola added that Sandusky “never thought that the situation in ‘98 was a big deal. He never looked at as that serious.”
This was someone who clearly needed to be watched even if never molested any children because he does not understand or care about keeping boundaries.
Secret File? As we speak ,a Jury in Phildelphia is debating the fate of a priest name Lynn. Lynn prepared a list of Priests in the past who were suspected of child Abuse. Then the list was shredded at the direction of an Archbishop. Then a lawyer found a copy, Now it is being used as evidence against Lynn who is not charged with abusing children, but as a co conspirator with those who did, according to the Phil Inquirer and the Jury is still out.
