Opposition to UN mission: Implement a peace plan in Syria or go home

(CNN) - The opposition claimed at least 25 people were killed in early morning violence Saturday in Syria while activists say a U.N. monitoring mission to oversee a peace plan to end the bloodshed has been futile.

The opposition allegations come as the United States says it is tracking a Russian military cargo ship en route to Syria that is carrying weapons, ammunition and a small number of Russian troops.

U.S. intelligence believes the Russians are sending the ship to help fortify its naval base in Syria as the situation in country continues to spiral out of control, Pentagon officials told CNN Friday.

Frustration over 15 months of relentless killings in Syria came to a head when opposition activists sent a message to a U.N.-backed observer mission: Implement a peace plan in order to stop the bloodshed - or go home.

Arab League is a laugh even to the people it supposedly represents. And globally like the UN which is just an instrument in the hands of powers that rule, ineffective.
Syria's fate would be decided in Washington,Tel Aviv and Moscow. S.Arabia and Iran are more on the sidelines.

I think Iran is in the thick of it... coaching Assad how to deal with they're common enemy, the West, and its' efforts to stop him. They've been allies for years!

      Unfortunately, you are probably right...
Seeing as Russia has twarted every UN resolution made concerning Syria, the future doesn't bode well.
I just wish that the blood if inncocents would cease is this game of chess the powers-that-be are playing.
After all, who are the future pawns, if they're all dead?

I feel sorry for people who like to cling to the designed and promoted myth pinning 9/11 on OBL . Besides the money trail that you identify, there are those smack in the middle of investigations and inquiries like the first responders, law enforcement, CIA, aviators ,NASA officials , military, architects and engineers that are skeptical of this view and outrightly reject it.
9/11 Commission members who closed the inquiry in disgust declaring it an 'inside job' and foreign govts including our close allies like Germany, Britain and Canada where senior admn officials and defense personnel at the time had the same to say. There is a lot more.

I agree, respectfully. The 9/11 attack was a success in the worst way:

Their hatred turned into our hatred. In the end, hate devours people. A good example is the fact that Middle East vets are now committing suicide at alarming rates – atleast one per day! War and the violence that mankind experience kills in more ways than one.

On this day, especially, my prayers are with all of them and their families.

Oh you poor misunderstood americans, when will the world stop prosecuting you for your goodness and divine right to tell others how to live, shhheeeesh.
The Soviets have only thre minor military. bases out of country and it is they who quit the cold war and surrendered interference and land masses in foreign nations.
China none, Iran and N.K are damn near islands in the geopolitical seas.
90% of the people we kill have not a damn thing to do with terrorism and never gave a damn about you or I or especially your fanaticism for democracy no matter who or how many will die.
    Mone ofyou neo(liberals or cons)

      Ohhhhh My!

Isn't it Assad who tells others how to live, or should that word be dictates? Don't feel sorry for us. As a whole, we love our children and don't seek out a way to kill based solely on opinion, religion, sect, gender or political stance. Last time I checked, we still hold the right to assemble and to protest. Remember 'We, the People?

We're still here exercising our rights to free speech. If that offends you, blogging is not your niche.
