Federal agents in Minnesota are trying to solve a mystery in hopes of helping some children in a dangerous situation. Agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations are asking for the public's help in identifying a boy they believe to be in his teens seen in a Web-based video.
Asking for help in this way is unusual according to ICE spokesperson Shawn Neudauer.
“Issuing a public plea is an extraordinary step by ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations warranted by our belief that there may be young people at risk, without the ability to ask for law enforcement’s help," he said.
The child is thought to be between 13 and 19 and possibly has been in either Minnesota or western Wisconsin in the past 18 to 24 months. Agents think that by identifying the teen they will be able to help at least one other child out of a dangerous situation and possibly more.

Wow, Homeland Security and ICE are notoriously paranoid and secretive but this is ridiculous. They didn't give any kind of information helpful to the public in identifying this young man. What is his nationality? Is their inability to get information from him due to his refusal or is he impaired in some way? The picture is fuzzy, but if some real information were provided it might help people put 'two and two together'....someone who remembers a kid with a disability or language problem...etc. Hey, Feds, the 'need to know' information needs to be upgraded. Sheesh
cynthia, their inability to get information from him is because HE IS IN A WEB VIDEO. It's really, really hard to get a straight answer from a picture.
You don't need to know all those details to tell the Feds "Hey, I think I've seen this kid". Jesus! Obviously there are things better left unsaid to avoid compromising a criminal investigation, or even save the kid's life.
They probably have none of that info. They have this image, and whatever this kid said in the video.
Has it occurred to you that maybe that information is not available this is why they are posting such a bad picture that looks like it was taken from a video off a crappy youtube video?
