@bobcat. Yeah, I recall. And I recall millions of Americans being terrified when 'War of the Worlds' was first broadcast on the radio. People truly believed aliens in flying saucers were invading.
And that was decades ago. Look how scared Americans are now.
Well, not flying saucers, exactly.
They were Martians, and that's how Orson Wells read it, with very little aknowledgement that it was fiction; I think they may have announced at the *end* of the broadcast that it was fictional, but by then the damage was already done.
Orson and the radio station got in heap big trouble when that was over.
1) Good morning, everyone.
2) That's not JIF.
3) Philip is correct about the 12/12 garbanzo beans; it's a load of hooey.
4) Obama has never indicated that he would ever pardon GWB; that is just supposition.
Pardon him for what, exactly?
If Bush admits to any of the nefarious rumors surrounding 9/11, no mere presidential pardon will suffice...
5) Keep up the good fight, OM.
6) Again, good morning, everyone.
Oh, here goes the fake repeal. Why is the congress wasting our time with this "symbolic B.S.". Why not take up the tax cut for the wealthy early and the debt deficit, and the ceiling for the debt. Useless they are all useless.
I also love that there is a "House Rules Committee" to approve of the debate rules.
That tickled my funny bone, I don't know why...well, I kind of do; it's called "anything goes!"
@banasy-Dang it. and I was happy to see him. I never see him anymore.
He isn't here much anymore, OM.
He work a lot!
I miss him, also.
Good Morning banasy. Those were the days my friend.
We'd thought they'd never end, OM, lol...
I was going to put that line but I knew you knew me.lol
We'd sing and danced forever and a day. LOL
We'd live the life we choose, we'd fight and never lose!
Those were the days, oh, yes, those were the days!
Ah....
@philip then it is treason. You cannot pardon that. I think Presidnet Obama should let the cards fall.
2% of people in 2009 made over $250,000. Small number to pay taxes, and over that get all the perks. Free cars, flood insurance for their houses sliding down hills into the sea, insurance paid, kids get to go to school for free, pay lower property taxes than our farmers who give us food, and can deduct their dancing horses like Mitt Romneys wife to the tune of $77,000. I never got a tax deduction like that for my children. *I wonder if the horse is a unicorn or something more special than a child*? "Sarcasm alert".
@bobcat(iah) -lalala-lala okay this will stick in my head for awhile.......................
Better this song than the theme from "Spongebob" which bobcat brought up the other day, and stuck in my head the rest of it...
@banasy-Thank goodness my granddaughter is over that. lol
Better Spongebob, than Dora the Explorer or Blues Clues.
@banasy I talked barney down a bit, and I was glad she never really took to him.lol
@bc & OM:
Who's clues? Blue's Clues!
I love you, you love me...(Barf)
My gd likes Super Why.
Sigh.
The next generation, lol...she's only 16 mos old, though, so she doesn't watch a lot of telly...we watch TCM when the musicals are on.
She loves singing and dancing.
"That's Entertainment" 1&2 was on a few months ago, and she was spellbound...better than Barney (barf) any day!
Huh?
Good morning all.
@Obama Mama and @Philip are two posters who aren't shy of telling it as it is and I never miss to read their posts. More power to them.
They speak from research and not just from sentiment which seems to drive most bloggers.
@banasy@dazzle@bobcat@chrissy@Mary are truly humanists. @Portland tony is another poster who I must read.
Thank you saywhat!
I try...
I also have learned NOT to open my mouth unless I've done some research, and am biting my tongue with the dialogue going on here.
I will say, what ever is in print of Ms Edmond's work as an FBI translator is of little use unless testified to in court.
As for that craftily designed horrific crime against America and consequently against this world – 9/11, much has been said and written.
Mostly suppressed or laughed off as 'conspiracy' theories, there is a heap of material out there which would lead any thinking American to question what had been publicly presented by the then admn.
One just have to read the summary of the 9/11 commission to begin with and go on researching.
One must read... is the operative word saywhat, most just want to argue without even doing any research.
Good afternoon, saywhat.
I expected to see you much sooner...
9/11 is a touchy subject for me; you won't see me talking about it much, although I mostly enjoy reading other people's take on it.
I'll take humanist anytime.
Thank you.
