Two Americans reunited with their families Tuesday in northern Israel, a day after kidnappers freed them unharmed following three days of captivity in Egypt.
Kidnappers in Egypt released the two Americans and their tour guide Monday after holding them hostage since Friday.
Lisa Alphonse and Michel Louis have joined relatives and other members of their church group in Tiberias, Louis said.
Louis is the pastor of a Pentecostal church in Boston while Alphonse is a parishioner at another American church.
Kidnappers seized the three Friday in Egypt's Sinai region after gunmen boarded their tour bus, which was on its way to Israel, family members said.
FULL STORY

I've never understood US christianists who follow jewish tradition and travel halfway around the world to visit the Temple in Jerusalem. It's an Islamist temple! Sheesh!
Glad this story came out on a happy note.
I have no official stated religion, but if I'm going to travel to Egypt, I would hit every site from the pyrimmids to the temples...
Really, Faux Bombo?
Not even to see your wife's family?
I know this to be an untruth.
good morning all.
@Philip
Evangelist and Pentecostal traditions do share messianic vision tied with Israel.
As for the Temple being a islamic not islamist site, well if one studies these three M.Eastern religions Judaism,Christianity and Islam one can trace the source back to Abraham.
Contrare, @saywhat. Not back to Abraham. Back to the sons and one grandson of Abraham.
Abraham's son Isaac had a son, Jacob, and he became the nation of Israel.
Ishmael became father to the nation of Islam.
(and i say "christianist" in reponse to those claiming "islamist". "Christians" who join with renegade muslims and invade Iraq, for example.
Somehow I'm a bit skeptical about Ishmael being the father of the nations of Islam considering the 2000 years or so that passed from the time Ishmael lived to the day the first Muslim walked the face of the Earth.
Christians? Christians can trace their lineage back to Abel.
The first man who ever became God's friend without having a woman help him to become his enemy.
Was Eve on Cain or Abel's side of that dysfunctional family unit?
Jesus' family line has been traced back to Abel. by Dr. Luke in the bible book bearing his name. Jews can only trace their family line back to Abraham. Two different families altogether.
Hundreds of jews converted from their jewish religion and became Christians, joining Jesus' family and leaving their former family and religious traditions behind. (lierally when Rome layed siege to Jerusalem beginning in 64CE. Every Christian escaped, every Jew was killed, and the Jewish Temple was destroyed)
Christians are under no obligation to visit the Temple in Jerusalem as Jews always have been. Now, Jews can't possibly keep God's commands to go to the temple and worship him. The Temple is owned by Muslims and Jews aren't even allowed inside.
Pyramids are cool.
The Sphinx is, too.
Sits there like a sentinel, silent and majestic.
Yeah, it's on the bucket list.
@Philip
In muslim traditions Adam is the first prophet and messenger of God besides being the first of our kind created by Him. The story of Abel & Cain is narrated in their holy book the Koran and all prophets and messengers of God can trace their lineage back to Adam through his progenies.
As for the Temple muslims can enter it thru any of the ten gates whreas Jews and tourists are allowed entry thru the Mugrabi gate only.
Its the Israeli govt that has banned non-muslim worship at the Temple and some Rabbis also forbid it on religious grounds.
So, if I were to get froggy and want to visit, I could?
Good to know.
Banasy answered for me. See ya later. (shrug)
(actually, that was out of frustration for the ankle biters.
Can't get my complete response to post. I get blocked from posting for hours at a time each and every single day)
Philip, who are these ankle biters of whom you speak. Maybe you won't be blocked so much if you would stick to one user name.
Actually my post was to saywhat, to a post-counting blog hog.
Amended to say:
NOT to post-counting blog hogs.
Saywhat is absolutely none of those things, and he has my highest respect.
