An elderly man suspected of Nazi war crimes has been arrested in Hungary, prosecutors said Wednesday, after a worldwide Jewish rights organization discovered him living in Budapest.
Ladislaus Csizsik-Csatary is accused of sending more than 15,000 Jews to the Auschwitz concentration camp in the spring of 1944, the he Simon Wiesenthal Center said.

What? 6 months? What a waste of precious money which is hard to come by these days.
There will be the inevitable pleas for mercy on behalf of an old man. But keep in mind, he got old by hiding from justice after killing or helping to kill thousands. These were not acts of war, these were the murders of defenseless civilians, often women and children. I don't care if he is 1,000 years old, he should be made to stand and face these accusations and accept the punishment if found guilty.
The Israelites did the EXACT same thing to Canaanites and other tribes in Canaan under the ruling of King David. When the Jews got their own country in 1948, they may have hoped that that would legitimize them somehow, that they would no longer be a wandering tribe of swindlers and liars. I would challenge anyone in those days if you were told to do something, or be killed you would do it to save yourself. Anyone who says they would rather die than shoot another person. I hate to break this to the people who have never served in the military, but you don't get the option to morally justify the orders of your superiors – and back then it was either you or them, and personally if that's the choice I'm given, I'm going to continue living and just deal with my choices. I think that a lot of people had a hand in the whole jewish people prosecution. Having said that and now to spend millions of dollars and untold amounts of time and to find an old man and try to make him a culprit is furthermore useless and time consuming.I think the JDF would be better off to promote peace and forgiveness and concentrate on educating and enlightening people on the horrors of racism and government sanctioned terrorism.
