An elderly man suspected of Nazi war crimes has been arrested in Hungary, prosecutors said Wednesday, after a worldwide Jewish rights organization discovered him living in Budapest.
Ladislaus Csizsik-Csatary is accused of sending more than 15,000 Jews to the Auschwitz concentration camp in the spring of 1944, the he Simon Wiesenthal Center said.

when will the beneficiaries of the WORST HOLOCAUST EVER, (THE AFRIKAN SLAVE TRADE) be punished. How do you punish a slave trader from 400 years ago?
I would say that the total destruction of the economy of the confederate sates following the civil war, along with the following years of carpetbaggers and mistreatment of southerners (which I will agree many of them deserved) was punishment enough to the "beneficiaries" of the slave trade. The South still hasn't caught up to this day. As for all the other countries in the world who benefited from slaves, and also the Africans who captured and sold other Africans, they probably won't be punished.
Your statement is very ignorant but if you truly want someone to pay for the African Slave Trade, then go to Africa because it was Africans that sold their fellow African brothers and sisters to the people of the United States as well as other countries. Our ancestors didn't travel to Africa to capture slaves, the slaves were brought here from Africa by Africans.
Slavery ended 150 years ago... Quit your crying and pull yourself up out of your own mess. Every group of people whether it be Irish, Italian, Polish, Mexican, etc. we're systematically discriminated against when they came here. The difference is that "afrikans" as you refer to them have continuously used the "white man is holding us down" argument to excuse themselves from the responsibility of dealing with their own problems. Those other groups that were previously mentioned all worked hard and made education and hard work a part of their culture. They are no longer looked down upon. Like I said, quit crying and do something productive.
Start with the descendants of the ones who enslaved them and put them up for sale...fellow Africans. Better yet, stop being a victim and work to make a better future.

Well KENFOLK maybe it is because the Africans do it to each other. They have been butchering each other for thousands of years over tribal hatreds that are passed down from generation to generation. Even during the height of the new World slave trade in the 1700 and 1800s the slavers got most of their slaves from purchasing them from other tribes. Africa has always been, and sadfully still is a cesspool of hate. We shouldn't spend a single penny on any of them until they evolve to a point where they stop butchering each other. If you travel there you can see it is still the dark ages with regards to their mentality towards things that we take for granted as basic human rights. How many billions of dollars have been pumped into that continnent over the last 60 years? With very few eceptions; little has changed.

Well, unfortunately 400 year old oppressors will be hard to find. I am assuming you are referring to all of the world which participated. The Spanish, Portuguese, English, and the Dutch were responsible for displacing the African peoples, but not with out the help of the Africans themselves. Granted the Africans may or may not have known what was happening, but they helped none the less. As a final note, how can you continue to hate? Do you think racism will ever disappear? Not unless people like your self can move on and make this world better. Do not forget what has happened in the hope that we may never repeat our past. Simon Wiesenthal, although I'm not a Nazi sympathizer I really do detest this man. He himself spent years wearing a Nazi uniform in order to "hide" and stay alive. At the time he was following orders no different than the men his organization now hunts down in his name. Wiesenthal is a hypocrite of enourmous proportions. Am I saying Nazi's shouldn't be punished, no. But if they're going to be herded up and held accountable Wiesenthal should be in their ranks as well.
Simon Wiesenthal spent over four years in a German concentration camp. If he tried to hide, he was spectacularly unsuccessful. His work to locate perpetrators of those horrors after such an experience serves as a testament to human courage and spirit.
Rubbish! Weisenthal has done much to bring Nazi's to justice. He is a hero.
What he did was bad, but we're talking about an elderly man. He was under the leadership of a charismatic rhetorician who capitalized upon a disabled and disenfranchised citizenry to promote his hate-filled agenda. Leave him be and allocate resources elsewhere where needed.
World has too much hatred and too many folks seeking revenge for past injustices. Hounding 100 year old men is a sign of unbridled mental illness. Soon all the Nazi prison guards will be dead and the world will move on.

The purpose of the Statue of Limitations is that for someone who is actually innocent, it become nearly impossible after 50 years to still find the evidence and people required to prove such innocence.
There isn't one for crimes against humanity.
There's no statute of limitations for murder in the US or most other places. As for anything else they might charge him with, it would really depend on the country.

Hey fekt! He did what he had to in order to survive as you or anyone else would have done. By fate, what he did to survive also gave him the insight needed to track down the very people he was hiding from, and hiding in plain sight I might add. It would be nice to see more action begin taken against current genocide. Some gets confronted, some is ongoing and not being confronted. Who picks and chooses when the world steps in and when it sits back? Going after old Nazi's is necessary but more important is going after current day criminals.
