Attacks in Iraq kill at least 76 people, officials say

The death toll from several attacks across Iraq rose Monday to 76, Interior Ministry officials said.

Dozens were wounded.

The deadliest attacks happened in the town of Taji, roughly 20 miles north of Baghdad, where a car bomb and four roadside bombs exploded in a residential complex, killing 32 people and wounding 43, authorities said.

In another attack, at an Iraqi military base north of Baghdad, militants armed with mortars and small arms killed at least 15 soldiers, according to the officials.

    @banasy
The world is tiring too of these " machinations from twisted individuals" and we lamenting them day in day out.No end in sight.
I worry about what kind of world we leave for our kids and grand kids. Because in the final analysis it is us the people who are responsible for letting all this happen.

      @saywhat:
      I agree.
I am at a loss anymore as to what we, as a group of people, can do to stop these tragedies from occurring...
As you have stated before, we need to look inward.
      We do!
And one of the most powerful tools that we, as a nation, have is the power to voice our disapproval for what is going on is our vote...
Term limits for our Congressional reps would be helpful, too, so the same people that get us into these messes year after year would not have the opportunity to continue their biased decisions.

Even parents that DO their very best are hobbled by domestic terror. You raise your child right and he still gets rayped at church, for example, or lured into a cowardly gang, for another. (not that I believe ALL of US do our best)
We can do BETTER than this, and will once our CIA focuses on our OWN domestic terrorists. Yes. Bernie Madoff also terrorized many...stripping them of their funds earmarked to protect their own future and our childrens future.
It's a no-brainer America could use a thourough scrubbing cleaner than that provided so-far by domestic law enforcers.
Bring our CIA troops home! (too)

I quite agree that a 'scrubbing' is what this nation needs not only in its thought process but in other areas.

  6. Interesting Info

The original democracy (ancient Greece) didn't elect federal leaders. 50 adult citizens were "drawn out of a hat" to lead, and each year a vote was helt to REMOVE those appointed citizens who didn't do their civil duty.
There was no election debates or eloctoral colleges or ultra expensive popularity contests (campaigns).
But alas, even that type government failed. And then the next type of government failed. And it looks like this latest expiriment in ruling people is failing...for look how far down we have gone.
Does man even have the capciity to rule this earth and care for it as if his own home? Do not even the honest mistakes made by powerful rulers cost thousands of lives?

Alas but its 'Man' who is destined to rule, destroy, pillage this earth. No options.

Exactly. I believe a clean mind leads to a clean body, and so am enjoying watching the CIA assist the fBI cracking down on those pushing mind altering pharmaceuticals for profit, not health.
Kind of like teaching your own body to "fish" rather than just giving it another 20 oz. Porterhouse 🙂
Now, a child is naturally born with a near perfect body and near blank brain. And like a sponge that brain absorbs what is around it. What is around it needs cleaned up by the CIA.
Bring CIA troops home too, @banasy?

Contrare, saywhat. Many even now are lead by a higher power than man. Granted, the mess this world is in shows that most peoples higher powers are weak and unable to rule. A few have the true God as their higher power than man. Albiet very few by the looks of things.
Abolish organized religion and ditch the phonies who drop God's commands like hot potatos if governments give them permission to do so.

The term is "Au Contraire", meaning "on the contrary": French origin. You seem to be an educated person, so I thought I'd correct you. 🙂

I understand the bibles message to be God dragging human leaders to provide electricity to every home on earth, so that after governments abolish organized religions, families can come to know the real Jesus from the comfort of their own homes. (rather than the buddy Jesus taught by wolves in sheeps clothes or the nationalistic God taught by war mongers)
And I have been observing this all going down for many many years, just as it was written long ago.

I remember when Democracy Now wasn't on the radio or TV. I haven't listened to that gal (Democracy Now anchor) too much lately. And really, anyone who can see through Geroge W. Bush has an unique perspective to share. And plus she's a real person, not a talking head. (he he I have forgotten her name! brb...gotta check libary microfilm. Wait! I got Google now!)

Amy Goodman. How could moi fergit? he he. She's quite a gal. I remember Bill Clinton called her on the air, and she grilled him for a half-hour with many questions found on the WH press "do nat ask" list. Sheesh! That was a decade ago!
Did you know that at one time she broadcast her show from an old firehouse? And she's been keeping pace w/Al-Jezeera (almost) ever since! Al-Jazeera, the "official voice of Al-Quida" had it's humble beginnings publishing on a US military base near Darfur Qatar.
Anyway, she'll be bigger than Al-Jazeera news agency once organized religion is outlawed worldwide. (though I think Amy is jewish with a Rabbi for a grandpa)

lmao "Darfur, Qatar". Too many irons in the old fire today.
Al-Jazeera began on a US military base near Doha, Qatar. As all 9/11 truth seekers are well aware.

No duh the MP had/has no issues w/Al-Jazeera news agency...what? Keeping an eye on Al Quida? Anyway...
...that doesn't explain why the MP aren't all-over "cash only" shops on or surrounding military bases everywhere.
Who are these men operating these businesses in their best girlfriends name? Why, they are former soldiers receiving 2,800 bucks per mo. of permanant disabilty pay, fraudulently.
Military enti tlement fraud costs taxpayers billions. Nearly 80% of what we call "national defense spending" goes to enti tlement programs.
The VA has no police force, and the FBI has their hands full with the rest of US.
Bring our CIA troops home. Our taxes pay their wages. Git on home now and clean this mess up. ty

No heat in them in wibter unless kept doors open so huge pot bellied stove could heat room and them.
Wintrr lids wanted to sit up front as tohe stove would be blazing and wr older kids would sweat while kids up front kept sweaters on.
Got my first kisses behind schools apple tree.
As you can tell by my writing Kissing girls for me was better than study.
Actually just kidding. good education atmosphere and in 4th grade school marm sent my poem to a publisher and they published. never have picked up a book since without remembering her.
