Islamists: Two stoned to death for committing adultery in Mali

Islamists in control of northern Mali said they forced a man and a woman into two holes and stoned them to death for committing adultery in the lawless region.

Witnesses watched quietly as Islamists executed the two by pelting them with rocks in the remote Aguelhok town, according to a local resident.

"I don't know how many rocks they threw or for how long it went on before they were both dead," said Haman Maiga, a resident of Aguelhok who witnessed the stoning. "No one dared to try and stop the Islamists."

The woman had two small children, a boy and a girl, according to Maiga.

A leader of a radical Islamic group in the region said Sharia law condemns relationships outside marriage

America, what a wonderful religion Christianity is! The Catholic church and abuses of children, Westboro Baptist Church and that insanity....get my drift? religion has nothing to do with it, though it is blamed all the time. It's man's inhumanity to man that is to blame. and there are kooks is every race, religion and country.

Sharia law my ass. For example, Saudi citizens are mostly faithful and beholding to Allah of the Koran who commands slay the invading infidels. They view their own government as a puppet just as millions of Americans do view the House of Saud in cahoots with the Bush-Bin Laden group of "investors".
They would Arab spring-summer-fall-winter that House, if not for that House being so well guarded by US forces, and the citizens totally disarmed.

What does it say about invading other countries and killing people you do not agree with?

Meredith, that's b/c you never solved the crime of 9/11 in your own mind. It remains a mystery to you. If you would master the "Truth about 9/11" game by actually playing it(honest hard look at the facts) you would know hundreds of people who know, and you would be aware of millions more throughout the world.

So, you think you know what I think, based on one comment I made? Do not presume to underestimate me. That is a mistake you do not want to make, and this conversation is over, as I have to leave. Good evening, Philip.

Hello right back at you. I'm glad to see you back here on the blog. The subject of the different religions and their hard core beliefs is so contentious that I try to stay away from the subject. Why there has to be central control on the many different religions, I don't know. Then on top of that, you have the individual mandates within each of the religions. So actually you have the religions competing against each other, then you have the individual churches within the religion competing against each other. Then you have the har dcore faction that insists everything is literall. It's enough to make a sane person go Hmmm. For me in organized religion, there are too many different interpretations of the bible amongst the different religions. So I use the mind and conscience that I was endowed with. The most important thing in my mind is how you treat your fellow man.

Thank you @bobcat for your very erudite response on religion and you are absolutely right on your core value of how one treats all others. I was raised a Catholic but at 17 allowed to make a choice if I wanted or needed to go to church every Sunday. My choice was no. I've explored different aspects of organized religion and nothing spoke to me. Right now I am studying "exploring spirituality outside the box." I attend a Unity service when I can where there is no hellfire and brimstone nonsense, it is simply positive. I hope to see you on the blogs tomorrow. Good night and many thanks for remembering me.

The Catholic Church was kicked out of government in the 1700s. It's time to strip all religion of governmental powers.

So it wasn't Sharia Law that thes extemists were enacting? My mistake. It MUST be the mainstream Muslims who did this, while the villagers looked on, afraid to suffer the same fate. Please excuse my stupidity, (eye roll). Have a pleasant night.

http://Www.hereinreality.com published a flyer called "The Truth about 9/11" just months after it happened. President Bush ordered the Attorney General he himself appointed to shut down this website for publishing lies about a sitting president, a federal felony violation of law. (Bill Clinton tried the same shenannigan w/www.skeletoncloset.com)
No lies found. Goto that site, Meredith, and then go from there.
http://www.firefightersfor911truth.org is a great place to read what FDNY firemen really found. enjoi :)

@Obama Mama. Good point you make that few believers understand.
The idea of a burning hellire is very extreme thinking. Thinking done by extremists, not true fundamentalist. It's funamentally wrong to even think about allowing your own puppies to be torched.

saudi citizens are mostly faithful to Allah of the Koran and view their Government as renwgades who side with Infidels and invading Infidels. They would rise-up but have no weapons, plus the Saud Gov. Is heavly armed by Amwrican Milita.

It seems everyone is more concerned with their personal salvation than that of an entire world of peoples. That, "as long as i'm good to go, that's all that matters to me" and then end of discussion.
Like, as long as you aren't hurting anyone, it's ok for you to keep quiet about others hurting someone. Others, like your own government or own religious leaders.

Many of you give me more grief than you give your own leaders BUSTED hurting people really really bad. You attack me for what I say, and extend diplomatic immunity to your crooked leaders caught doing horrific crimes...even soiling the Oval Office with a portly young intern and denying it to your face. You accept it as 'normal'.

Watch. Some old hag lady will give me more grief over calling Monica Lewinky "portly" than she will take into consideration Clintons WOMANIZING ways.

I'm a man, married, and love my wife dearly, Philip. If I had to venture a guess, you're single and pist off that you can't keep a woman. Watch, you'll come back with some ignoramous comment because someone had to leave the board and you're throwing a tantrum over it. If you want serious conversation, and invite like "watch some old hag lady, blah blah blah blah" isn't going to net you any results. Just some friendly advive; tone it down a bit.

No one there to catch you, when
we fall; and all of us fall to temptation. In Islam, there is no forgiveness... Some men use Shari'a to have their wives
killed. Heartless, UnGodly spin on religion.
