Prince Harry has been deployed to Afghanistan in his role as an Army helicopter pilot, the British military said Friday. He will be based at Camp Bastion, in Helmand province, on what is his second deployment to Afghanistan.

Now why are they releasing that information? Didn't he have to come back the last because of fears someone would gun for him for the glory of taking down a western royal because the Taliban (& everyone else) knew he was there? The poor guy can't get a break. He wants to serve, let him do so without the press hoopla putting him in harm's way, even more than he would be if he was just a regular bloke.
I agree...it seems to me that kind of information is rather at cross-purposes for his safety...

Why are they announcing his location as well? To let the world know he's being deployed is one thing...and to think they're "concern" about his safety. Despite his behavior few weeks back, I hope he doesn't cause anymore trouble and focus himself in serving and represent himself a man second to the throne should. Harry, I commend you on doing your service in Afganistan,obviously the Taliban has a price on your head,In the worst case,donot let them take you alive,go down fighting if possible ,that was the code that I and numerous soldiers lived by in Vietnam because you knew if captured, you would be tortured to no end until death .Plus.if you do survive your tour,it will give you major whats called today in slang "Street Cred"which you probably already know in Brittan and the World.Solid war experience solidifies your position in the Royal Family as real potential future leader if you wanted to continue in Military Service at a higher level rather than always be 3rd in line to the Brittish Throne. Again the above are just suggestions from someone around your fathers age,
