[Updated at 6:57 p.m. ET] Two teenage brothers who were arrested and charged with first degree murder in the death of a 12-year-old New Jersey girl are accused of killing her at the boys' home, possibly for her BMX bike, prosecutors say.
Autumn Pasquale was found dead Monday in a recycling container in Clayton, New Jersey. Two boys – ages 15 and 17 – were arrested Tuesday in connection with her death.
Prosecutors say they believe the boys lured Pasquale to their home. Police found her bike and some other belongings at the boys' home early Tuesday, authorities said.
Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean Dalton said Tuesday that Autumn was strangled and died from blunt-force trauma. Pasquale, who was to turn 13 next week, was last seen Saturday night when she rode her bike from her home in Clayton

"The brothers are ages 15 and 17 years old and both are in police custody at the present time," Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean Dalton said. "The 15-year-old has also been charged with one count of luring."

Some 200 law enforcement members have been searching for Autumn Pasquale, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said, since Saturday when the 12-year-old went missing from her New Jersey home.
Also a Facebook page had been created to help in the search for her.
The family has been notified.
"This is a very sad day for the Pasquale family," said Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean F. Dalton."Our hearts go out to the family."
Pasquale was last seen Saturday night when she rode her bike from her home in the town of Clayton, New Jersey.
She was set to turn 13 next week.

I would bet my last dollar that there is no father in the home these boys came from. Probably even go as far as saying the father is in jail or at the very least has been there. Several races have suffered from discrimination and racisim. The ones that progress have two things in common, family and education. In other words the father is in their life and they stay in school. The one race that doesn't progress has no fathers around and drops out of school. These two 'boys' will be out in a few years, only to do it again.

Just listening to the surviving family does help a little, but nothing can bring a child back. So stop sitting on your thrones and quit presuming to know what would or would not help other parents like me who have suffered the ultimate pain of losing a child you carried for nine months, guided through however long of a life they've had with you, and then to have them ripped away from you and your heart literally ripped out.

Exactly - where are the pics......... when the recent 10 yr old was slain it was CNN front pg news. The perp was a teenage Anglo Saxon; these tens are non Anglo and (guess what)........ no PICS - the word imbalance comes to mind. I'm so sick of this type of crime happening..We can't even feel safe to let our kids out without having to shadow them. I don't care that these kids were 15 & 17–don't want to hear any pathetic excuses that people use, like "I was molested as a child", "I snapped","we went crazy",etc,,,these types of crimes should be punished with the death penalty...not a life term,,, so they can live out a long life with medical,dental, and free meals till old age....

I may sound heartless, but–if these young men are found guilty of this child's murder–they should not be imprisoned for life but face capital punishment as soon as they exhaust their legal rights.
The death penalty should apply automatcially to anyone who murders a child.
If the convicted murderer is a child himself/herself, then that sentence should attach as soon as they reach their "adulthood" in the state where they reside or committed the crime.
Because an adult's life is worth less? Because a murdered adult is less horrific? Why would that be?

It seems to have escaped you notice that these boys are 15 and 17. And as you said "Anyone who kills a child should face capital punishment. Don't be so quick to be judge, jury and executioner. These boys are children as well remember. While agree these boys are obviously needing help of some kind, the murder of a murderer is still murder no matter how you phrase it.
