Killed seeking bread: Nightmare reality for Syria's hungry

The latest horrifying video from Syria shows yet another attack on a bakery where innocent people were just trying to buy bread.

Screaming men are seen hauling the body of a child into a taxi as other victims zip past.  Mangled bodies lie alongside piles of blood-soaked bread in the grainy images posted on social media.

Col. Abdu Jabar Agadi of the rebel Free Syrian Army tells CNN Syrian troops shelled the location Tuesday in Aleppo, killing dozens, and rebels didn't have the weapons to retaliate.  "The bakery was intentionally targeted by the regime to terrorize the residents," he said.

Syria, which continually blames violence on "terrorists," didn't immediately weigh in on the latest attack.  On state-run media it said it had "eliminated one of the most dangerous armed terrorist groups" in Aleppo.

In the past, Syria it has said its forces killed terrorists near a bakery, uncovered a terrorists' warehouse near a bakery, and found a bakery owner who was murdered by terrorists.

Human Rights Watch said in August that 10 bakeries had been bombed in Aleppo province alone.  In one attack, at least 60 people died.

CNN reported on another bakery shattered last month near Aleppo, as well as one destroyed in Homs in January.

The World Food Programme says about 1.2 million people are displaced inside Syria, and about 1.5 million people will be in urgent need of food assistance over the next few months.  A recent assessment, which had the help of the Syrian government, found that up to 3 million people are expected to be in need of food over the coming year.

It's really hurts to see so many people starving, and we as the whole world still throwing food, instead of helping those in need...

Do you think it will be any better in Amerika when the food riots come here?

I have news for you: Your government, your police, and your army will preserve their own access to bread over your dead bodies, and those of your children, if they have to.

Especially with almost half of America seemingly too lazy to work to buy bread. They are busy watching soaps or "going back to school" while living off of us that actually try. I'm tired of my tax money going to deadbeats and hippies.

There are just too many people abusing our social welfare system today many are having extra children to increase their monthly benefits. I know one single mom with three kids. She does not have a job and lives in a very nice home. She says she is a professional mommy and her job is raising her boys. Guess who is paying for her to sit home and raise her kids? We are. Those of us that work. There are many many examples out there like this. Those of us that work can not support everyone. We have enough trouble paying out own bills and taking care of our own families. We should not be overburdened with caring for those who are just too sorry to work.

      Trollalaliar.
      Turn her in, then.
You can't, because your story is completely fabricated; either that, or you forgot to disclose that her husband is the breadwinner.
      Nice hysterical try, though.

Assad will find no mercy (WHEN and not IF) he is caught. They will slice his balls off and then burn him alive. If I
were his pretty young wife I would pack my crap and head for a sane country. If she is also caught she will get the
same treatment after 10-20 have their way with her.

Its not our problem we have people here starving as well but we had rather take care of a bunvh gun carrying rag head i say we need to take care of our own before we worry about some other country.

This is another example as to why this world needs to be "reset"...this race is out of control. Millions of people dying on one end of the world, and others living the most ridiculous luxury lives wasting food and money that could be used to SAVE some of the women and children. Even a fraction of what we waste could make a huge difference in some parts of the world. I really hope there is a "new beginning" coming soon. That everything as we know it comes to an end so that humans in general wake up and realize that being a celebrity-wanna-be is not the right way to live while many suffer. We CHOOSE to ignore the misery in the world as long as we are ok...and that's selfish. At this rate...our civilization will continue to collapse.

I am not sure what to believe, terrorists place themselves in with civilians so that civilians will be killed when you go after them. It is tragic regardless of who is telling the truth and who is lying.

So far in history, Egypt,Asyria,Babylonia,Medo-Persia,Greece,and Rome fell. Britain & America are the duo-world power that the bible talks aboutthat is next to fall is it not? we are in the last days and still hate each other. wake up! we are in trouble. President Obama can't fix the hate america toward each other, only God can. We need to stick with our president. He is a good family man from a middle class family. And, he knows what he is doing.
