E-mails: White House knew of extremist claims in Benghazi attack

Two hours after the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, the White House, the State Department and the FBI were told that an Islamist group had claimed credit, government e-mails obtained by CNN show.

One of the e-mails - sent from a State Department address to various government agencies - specifically identifies Ansar al-Sharia as claiming responsibility for the attack on its Facebook page and on Twitter.

The e-mails raise further questions about the seeming confusion on the part of the Obama administration to determine the nature of the September attack and those who planned it.

The attack left U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead.

Nope. It was a spontaneous demonstration.

Plus there are no such thing as terrorist. They are just radicals or maybe at worst, criminals.

Keyword, it was hours after the attack. The video mocking Muhammad sparked tiots all over the Middle East and possibly triggered these radicals to attack the vulnerable city of Benghazi at our embassy. It is unfortunate, but it isn't President Obama's fault. These radicals are crazy, did you forget what happened in 9/11? Come on people. It was a terrorist attack, but anybody could be a terrorist if they are radically involved. Therefore, Romney should stop making up BS and move on with his campaign because he seems like the antichrist and he will lose to Obama. Sorry Mormons.

B.S. The WH KNEW an attack was coming, teyyy weree tolld months before by the people there that asked for increased security. Obama just didn't want this terrorist atttack to be found out before the election so they made up the story about riots because of a movie posted long before the attacks. Now he is exposed for the lying turd he is.

No ur wrong, it was because of the video mocking the Muhammad, it just so happens to be that video came out the time the attack happened which was September 11, 2012. The guy that put the video up may be linked to the Al queda.

Are you all living under a rock or do you not want to face facts.
Intelligence knew that an attack was planned , hence the request for more security which the Obama admin denied.
The Brits and the Red Cross were told to leave and they did.
Who was in charge of our Americans , it looks like nobody cared.
Obama is ultimately responsible for this tragic event and shows that he is not fit to be President.
