Head of Hamas military wing killed

Ahmed al-Ja'abari, head of Hamas' military wing, was killed Wednesday in Gaza by an Israeli "surgical" strike, the Israeli military announced.

A spokesman for the Hamas-run government in Gaza confirmed that al-Ja'abari was killed in an Israeli strike.  "Israel is announcing the war in Gaza and Israel will carry the responsibility for killing Ahmed Jabri," Tahar Eanono said in a written message.

Militants in Gaza have been firing dozens of rockets into southern Israel, and Israel has struck back.

The Israeli military tweeted earlier today:

Israel does not exist in prophecies, Israel will be hit by the largest tsunami in 2020 leaving no stone unturned and inhabitable for 1000 years.

A tsunami is going to make it inhabitable for 1000 years? How could it possibly do that?

People of the United States of America and the Arab World,
If my street was being destroyed by people 2 blocks away and would not stop, I would go in personaly as an old Special Forces Vietnam Vet and eliminate the problem, That's what Israel did, remember this; "You Live By The Sword You Will Die By The Sword".

Let Hammas lob a few hundred rockets into your home and office. How long will you sit and standby while your loved ones are bombed? You have to be kidding to think that Israel should do anything except aggressively defend its population. More of the inventions in the world are provided proportionate to population by Israel than any other country, a country made in the desert! More Nobel Prize winners are Jews than any other religion. Their contribution to the world is incredible. Wake up.

As a Canadian I can't understand why the Palestinians under the leadership of the Hamas think they can launch missles into another country and not have any repercussions. I also find it insulting that as soon as they launch these missiles they start screaming for the world to stop the Israelis attacks, are they completely stupid? I can just imagine if the Native Aboriginals in Canada started launching missiles into Canadian cities over land “taken” from them a couple of hundred years ago. Hamas by launching missiles against Israel has done nothing less than declared war. With the continued bombing they are forcing Israel to act in retaliation and defence. I’m sure there has been wrong doings by both sides leading up to this but Hamas has taken the step to violent bombings. Their aim is to obviously kill as many people as possible when there’re launched into highly populated areas. I’m sorry but I would be demanding my government take whatever action is necessary to stop the attacks if it was against my country..

Totally agree! They talk about how desperate people are, but there are people in other places and countries that are desperate as much or even more, but we don't hear about them shooting rockets to neighboring countries or their own, why?

You do realize that the Israels kick them out of their homes and of their land and just move in and say its my house now. That wouldn't upset you just a little bit?
