Israel steps up airstrikes, mobilizes troops along Gaza border

Irael's Operation Pillar of Defense looks like it may become a ground invasion. Today convoys carrying tens of thousands of Israeli soldiers rolled toward the Gaza border.  Palestinian militants fired rockets at the holy city of Jerusalem, which shows an expanded capability of their range vs. previous years.

Yesterday the Israeli government authorized the call up of 75,000 reservists, a move that points to the addition of boots on the ground to the current air campaign.

Explosions shouldn't be so pretty. All the orange colors in the photo look incredible.

    MizzooGirl,

Could you please provide a link to anything that says that the govt of China subsidizes gasoline for it's citizens? I've never heard of that before and would like to read up about it.

I have a pack of 4 of the King's Hawaiian rolls that have never been opened. They are almost 3 years old and look completely fresh. The package has swelled some but other than that they look perfect. I think it is the combination of being completely sealed where oxygen and bacteria can't get to the bread – and preservatives. Pretty cool.

As I have said before, "DON'T MESS WITH ISREAL"!! While I feel sorry for those innocents killed, that is a fact of life in any battle! JUSTIFICATION? Simple question to answer. WHO fired the first shot? Isreal listed at #10 of biggest militaries in the world, and HAMMAS, thinks, they can intimidate Isreal!? Shows just how stupid they are! What IF Isreal conducts a full scale, air and ground campaign and pushes HAMMAS completely out of Gaza? It will only cost lives, on both sides, with Isreal winning, BUT, really a lost cause if they pull back into Isreal when done! WHAT IF, Isreal decides to REMAIN on the borders of Gaza, to keep HAMMAS, and others that would do them harm, OUT? Would they give the palistians freedom to run their, "claimed, so called" country, and just control who comes in or leaves? While sounding absurd, for me, personally, this would be a better solution than just going in, clean house, then leave, just for HAMMAS and other terrorists to return!

As an American I feel ashamed the way our mainstream media continues with its biased and one sided reporting. But people elsewhere and even those with hearts and thinking minds here have access to real news.

Israel will not "invade" they do not look upon any military action in that area as invading
Use of word invading brings to mind entering another sovereign nation and ISrael does not recognize any of those lans as sovereign, nor so far has the UN general assembly.

Oh yes, yes, "license to kill Israel has". As a matter of fact EVERY nation has the right to fight back during a war, not only Israel... and if the Palestinians did not like it they would NEGOTIATE A BETTER DEAL long ago. They had plenty of opportunities.

Just the acts of bullies! Israel ALWAYS finds a way of justifying their actions, even if they are wrong.
