Campus police at California State University San Bernardino shot and killed a graduate student following an altercation Saturday night, authorities said.
Police said officers responded to University Village, an off-campus student dormitory, regarding a disturbance involving Bartholomew Williams, 38.
Williams became aggressive and an altercation with officers followed in the hallway of the dorm, the college said in a statement. Officers then fired their weapons because they feared for their lives, police said.
Williams died at the scene.
One officer was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injury.
Williams was majoring in educational instructional technology, and started at the school in the summer of 2011, police spokesman Sid Robinson said.

Americans more and more think that all they have to do is act in an aggressive and threatening manner and they will get what they want even if they are completely in the wrong. Likely this guy was one of them but went too far with the wrong people. Likely but of course we don't know the details.

At this time of the year the police officers were just enjoying themselves killing black people. They didn't mean to serve or protect anyone.

It's the new way of the world, Ladies and Gentlemen. Shoot first, ask questions later. Folks are not as quick to think as they are to react now of days and many times, common sense takes a back seat. Personally, I think if you shoot an unarmed man, you are a coward.

I don't know the "official" facts, so I certainly can't make a clear judgment, but it seems to me that perhaps this man could have been taken down without the taking of his life. I am sure that there are parts of the body that can be shot at which would take someone down but not fatally. The proper use of a tazer is another possibility.
