Campus police at California State University San Bernardino shot and killed a graduate student following an altercation Saturday night, authorities said.
Police said officers responded to University Village, an off-campus student dormitory, regarding a disturbance involving Bartholomew Williams, 38.
Williams became aggressive and an altercation with officers followed in the hallway of the dorm, the college said in a statement. Officers then fired their weapons because they feared for their lives, police said.
Williams died at the scene.
One officer was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injury.
Williams was majoring in educational instructional technology, and started at the school in the summer of 2011, police spokesman Sid Robinson said.

This incident happened at the University of South Alabama fairly recently. What happened to the cop? Nothing. This isn't about race or class, it's about abuse of power and choosing the easy thing over using the training that man for him to receive

He's just basing his statement on how these things usually happen. Cop unjustly kills someone, lies about it, is supported by his department, and usually gets off with a slap on the wrist, if that. That is the worst article I have seen in a very long time. There is almost no information presented.
I've now read this article on two major news sites, the other site did not have the name or age of the man that was sh0t but other than that it was exactly the same. I have yet to read anything saying why these officers (plural!) where in fear for their lives and there has been no mention at all regarding whether or not this person was armed with anything.
So I have to question how a group of trained police officers were so terrified of this man that they felt the need to kiII him. These days the cops just absolutely love to use their tasers on people or even a little pepper spray or mace would most likely have done the job here.
I guess we'll have to wait for me details before I can pass judgement on this but they had better start releasing better information or there are going to be an awful lot of people calling for the head's of the officers involved. The bottom line so far is that there is something fishy going on here, like possibly trying to come up with a story that will justify this sh00ting in some way.

I'm certainly no champion for the police departments, but you have to give some credit for any person who is willing to put that big target known as a police uniform on every day and do a job in which a lot of people will take a shot at you just because of the job you do. And don't say it happened on a university campus and not in the "real world". Many crazies have shot up college campuses in the last decade.
