Wal-Mart will meet with Holder, not Biden

Wal-Mart's envoy to the White House's gun violence task force will meet with Attorney General Eric Holder, not the group's leader Vice President Joe Biden, an administration official said Thursday.

Biden is scheduled to meet with gun owners and gun rights groups Thursday, including the National Rifle Association. Later in the day he'll sit down with representatives of the entertainment and video game industries.

After initially declining an invitation to attend at meeting with the gun panel, Wal-Mart announced Wednesday that it would participate in a meeting with the group, which was assembled after the deadly school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.

Actually Wal Mart has been sensitive to the emotions of antigunners for a long while and quit selling even hunting rifles in many of its outlets, not saying profit msrgins due to slow sales was not a factor.
NO guns legal or not on employees or even parking lots.
What gov afraid of(and the proffessional gun grabbers whose livelihhods depend on constant lies to keep controversy) is that Wal Mart using its advanced marketing infrastructure had jus in last 2 yrs had entered black gun market and had driven cost down to about 30% less than when they began.
WERE fast becoming threat to all sporting arms stores.
If Wal mart keeps going will lower cost of quality weapons to point tens of millions could afford to buy and join the pro gunners ranks.
Worst yet little jonny may actually see one and ruin mommy and DAddys shopping experience.

Too bad the article doesn't explain what Wal*Mart has to do with any of this. Perhaps I missed it, but as a retailer I'm not sure they should have a voice in this decision.

Walmart is looking at the money they make. They want to see what they lobby to make their pockets full.

They had a 2 liter soda bottle explosion today in the local high school. No one was hurt but I understand the anti-gun crowd and Cuomo are introducing legislation to ban 2 litter soda bottles.
