Amid new controversy over the administration's targeted killing of American citizens overseas, President Barack Obama has yielded to demands that he turn over to Congress classified Justice Department legal advice seeking to justify the policy, an administration official said.
The president's move comes on the eve of confirmation hearings Thursday for his CIA director nominee John Brennan and amid complaints from senators, including several Democrats, about secrecy surrounding the drone policy.
"Today, as part of the president's ongoing commitment to consult with Congress on national security matters, the president directed the Department of Justice to provide the congressional Intelligence committees access to classified Office of Legal Counsel advice related to the subject of the Department of Justice White Paper," an administration official said.

C'mon Jeffrey, tell the President how to legally whack someody.
Maybe he needs advice because it could involve you know...guns?
If, in a battle between USA soldiers and enemy soldiers, a USA soldier changed his mind and began to fire at USA troops, would it require a court order for the USA to shoot the traitor?
When we captured terrorists we could expect to get some information from them that might indicate what to expect next and save American lives. Just killing them and hoping they are who we think they are gives us no intelligence iformation at all. Will jump up and bite us at some point?
Isnt treason punishable by death? These so called Americans are TERRORISTS who would attack our country killing our people. If it alright to kill Al Queda members, I dont think you should pick and choose wich ones.
The death sentence does apply to the Acts of Treason.
For me it is simple! American "changes" his/her status to become a terrorist, publically saying to KILL other americans!
At that point you are no longer an american and by your "preachings", have lost ALL priveliges to be considered an american!
