New clues about Sandy Hook motive

[Updated at 10:52 a.m. ET] Investigators have found evidence that Sandy Hook Elementary School gunman Adam Lanza "was obsessed" with other mass murderers, a source with knowledge of the investigation told CNN Tuesday.

This news follows an earlier report that Lanza may have been motivated by a desire to outdo Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian man who killed 77 people in July 2011, law enforcement sources told CBS Evening News.

[Posted at 1:43 a.m. ET] The shooting spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School may have been motivated by a desire by Adam Lanza to outdo Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian man who killed 77 people in July 2011, law enforcement sources told CBS Evening News.

The unnamed sources said Lanza saw himself as being in direct competition with Breivik, who killed eight with a bombing in downtown Oslo before he moved to a nearby island where he hunted down and fatally shot 69 people.

According to the sources, the 20-year-old Lanza wanted to top Breivik's death toll and went to the Connecticut school on December 14 because it was the "easiest target" and had the "largest cluster of people."

The one positive about all the mass shootings is that it proves god doesn't exist. So the next time there is a mass shooting, (and there will be) everyone should just ignore it. No media, no interviews, no politicians and most of all no praying. If we as an society can't agree on reasonable gun control laws, we deserve what we get.

Since the gun nuts would say "laws don't work" Therefor we shouldn't try. (How much sense does that make). The other thing that doesn't work is praying. We've prayed after every mass shooting. The evidence obviously points out the fact since we continue to have these shootings (and smaller ones) Praying doesn't work and therefore god doesn't exist.

Un-named Sources are not real sources. Name your sources and you might have a shred of believability.
