Syrian President Bashar al-Assad slammed British leaders as "shallow and immature" and accused the British government of trying to arm rebels seeking his ouster.
Al-Assad told The Sunday Times the British government can't play a useful role in stopping the Syrian crisis.
"We do not expect an arsonist to be a firefighter," al-Assad told the newspaper.
"To be frank, Britain has played famously in our region (an) unconstructive role in different issues, for decades, some say for centuries," he said. "I'm telling you the perception in our region."

Oh if he only had a clue huh? More than just Britain trying to arm the Rebels.
Assad doesn't get it. The western powers can handle a revolution and probably could care less who wins. But an armed Co.conflict that just goes on and on (and on) with no resolution in sight threatens the entire region.

Wish I could elaborate but but am not allowed.
And the Brits infamous role in the region is a fact of history. The region & the world still suffers from seeds they had sown.
Have a good Sunday all.
