What an utterly sad thing to happen.
Why was the weapon not safely locked up?

If the 6 year old had been armed, this never would have happened.

Some folks' reaction to gun control is, "guns? They never shot anybody. Look, there's mine right there–you see it getting up and hurting you? Stupid libertines! My guns gonna lie right there till I put it back in my pocket."

This is truly sad! This is not a gun issue, it is a safety issue, in that these guns should have been locked up! I have several weapons and before my grandsom came into the house they werre loaded and sst in the back of the closet shelf. Now they all have trigger locks and in a safe!! Simple, responsible, actions can eliminate these kind of tragedy's.

Parents fault. Guns not the problem. If you leave the scissors outv and a child gets them you blame yourself. Same goes for guns. I dont date girls who are overweight, but I dont blame the cheeseburgers.
