Police: Texas college attack was planned

Dylan Quick overcame a childhood disability and had big plans for the future.

But on Tuesday, the 20-year-old student went on a stabbing spree on his Texas college campus, authorities said.

By the time campus police took him into custody, 14 people had been injured at Lone Star College. It's unclear how many of the injured were stabbed and how many suffered other injuries.

The campus shut down Tuesday, but will reopen Wednesday.

It is sad to see what has happened again on a school campus. With everything that is going on, it could not be any worse. My heart goes out to all those that lost anyone in this horrible situation. But, my point is going to be on a completely other subject, Where are the guns today??? We can see that you can use anything and kill anyone you want with all kinds of items, lets stop trying to disarm the country and give people the choice to do so with out restrictions. Stop trying to blame an item for killings! Start helping all our mentally ill and you might get somewhere, you fools, to think just for a second that an object is the killer of all there people. You can see that 14 people are now victims of A NUT, NOT A KNIFE.

Yes. 14 fatalities instead of 14 injuries. That's the difference.
Agree on the mental health issue. Perhaps instead of more wars, we can fund the mental health facilities that were de-funded in the 80's. That would be a magnificent start.

Well another caucasion young adult with a mission to get himself in the headlines. Knowing that he will plead not guilty because he is insane or has some sort of mental defect. America will question and report on him as he is disected from birth to now and Americans(caucasion) Americans will ponder what could have gone wrong????? In my community ICE Police are on a sting to detain as many legal residents who do not have citizenship status and deport them. The ICE uses the word REMOVAL. Hard working family people. Families left to fend for themselves. Now this "mentally ill person" is going to get free counsel and a great defense. Likely end up in prison or a mental hosspital until he is de clared sane for a short period of time and while he is there he will get a free education. He was not a "nut" he is perfectly sane. He knew exactly what he was doing.

So you dont like russians, armenian, georgians(country not state), iranians, iraqis etc. you should know what a caucasion and the region of caucas is before you open your mouth. The *Caucasus*, also *Caucas* or *Caucasia*(for endonyms
      , see below
), is a geopolitical region at the border of Europe
      and Asia
, and situated between the Black
      and the Caspian sea
. It is home to theCaucasus Mountains
, which contain Europe's highest mountain, Mount Elbrus
. Politically, the Caucasus region is separated between northern and southern parts.

    @ Marianna:
You don't like "caucasions," do you. I guess I won't be invited to any of your parties.

That's a really genius point. All assault knives should be banned, or at least have their owners register them.

    America, America...
I know many people who came here from other countries, and worked for years legally, within the rules, before very, very proudly telling me one day, "I became a citizen today!"
They did not advocate for greased paths to citizenship, and they didn't slip into the country 8 1/2 months pregnant.
Now, some from other countries want to break our laws and simultaneously use racial slurs for the people of various races and cultures who made the USA a place that they want to be.
