Yemen official: U.S. drone targets al Qaeda

A drone strike Tuesday in Yemen targeted al Qaeda members, a Yemeni official told CNN.

It is unclear whether the strike was related to the heightened security alert in the country after U.S. officials intercepted a message from al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri to operatives in Yemen telling them to "do something."

The official said it was the fourth drone strike in the past 10 days.

Drones are a blessing. I fully support the USA's drone strikes against its militant Muslim enemies. Also, Americans don't need to be giving those enemies money for anything except oil, so we should not be in their countries for joy rides.

Make love, not war. The world hates America because of our ethnocentric imperialist aggression. We need to stop military solutions and open our arms and hearts to all the peoples of earth.

Drones have proved unproductive in this 'war on terror'. With civilians killed every time an attack is mounted the 'enemies' gain by profiting from increasing anti-American sentiment in the general population.
This has been admitted both by our military & diplomats.

Au contraire, mon debile. The objective is dead enemy bodies, and the drones are succeeding well. You lament collateral damage, then urge your jihadi compatriots to stop hiding behind human shields. Name the diplomat or military person you claim states that the collateral damage cost exceeds the benefit of the strike. You cannot. Your hot air wafts away...

In both Afghanistan & Yemen drone strikes have made things difficult for our 'objectives' whatever they might mean at this stage of what has remained a struggle.

Drones are a cost effective policing measure. I encourage their use until the job is complete!

Sooooo, I guess that if you are against drones you would prefer that American soldiers have "boots on the ground"?
There is no reason to loose one american in these backwards, two bit, fanatical counries!
