Calif. teen rescued; alleged abductor killed

After an agonizing week of waiting, hoping and praying, Brett Anderson is expected to reunite with his 16-year-old daughter, Hannah, on Sunday.

Hannah was rescued from the Idaho wilderness after an FBI agent shot and killed the family friend suspected of killing her mother and brother, burning his own house down, and kidnapping Hannah.

James DiMaggio's death and Hannah's rescue late Saturday afternoon ended a frantic weeklong manhunt.

I am happy for her , but a monstrous tragedy nevertheless , her mother & brother dead. The perp was killed and that is some consolation.

I smell a coverup. When it takes the FBI this long to say "as far as we know he did possibly maybe perhaps fire first" is indicative of a cover up (just as we saw in Boston where a "ferocious firefight" was how the police commissioner Davis characterized the shooting of the unarmed kid in the boat – even days after he KNEW there never was a gun). I suspect, since the FBI took this long to even mention a gun, that they shot first and decided to concoct the story later. The fact they also sent in a high-power team immediately tells me they're further sanitizing the scene, before anyone else learns the truth. Mind you, I'm not apologizing for the suspected culprit; I'm just extremely leery of the FBI murdering suspects and then concocting stories. The fact the gun hasn't been mentioned until today further bolsters the theory that the FBI murdered the suspect and is slowly leaking disinformation (e.g., "possibly maybe fired once?") with two entire teams, plus the female victim, in attendance. Smells like a coverup to me.
