U.S. envoy to visit North Korea over prisoner

A U.S. special envoy is expected to fly to North Korea on Friday to try to secure the release of Kenneth Bae, an American citizen imprisoned there for carrying out "serious crimes" against Kim Jong Un's regime.

North Korean authorities detained Bae, widely reported to be a Christian missionary, last year and sentenced him to 15 years of hard labor earlier this year. They said he had planned an operation to bring down the government through religious activities.

Bae's family has said he was the owner of a tour company who was in North Korea for work.

Yep. 15 years of hard labor should put him on the road to recovery. I hear it's great for back pain, kidneys and diabeties.
We love you NK. Soooo compasionate.

They should send Dennis Rodman. Guaranteed success.
My takeaway from this? Don't be American and go anywhere near NK.

Don't know if you people heard. Yesterday I read an article regarding NK. It stated that Kim jun ill(whatever his name is) had a girlfriend. The regime claimed she was looking at porn. So the sicko rounded up her family and had a firing squad kill her in front of them. Heck of a country.

Yes @chrissy N.K has withdrawn its invitation to US envoy. Now what?
And no @banasy even Rodman would be hard put to handle Il's tantrums.
Perhaps we could carry out a limited strike to take out his girl friends poodles if she has them or something alike. China and UN can scratch their ears.

He is very immature, but then having his every whim catered to would make anyone a monster.

I wonder if, as long as they're heading north, if they're going to stop in at Vladivostok and pick up Eddy Snowden. Just say'in.
