Navy Yard shooting: 7 victims identified

They were civilians and contractors, just starting their day at a massive military compound that's normally a bastion of safety.

But for reasons that may never be known, a former Navy reservist cut their lives short when he went on a shooting rampage at Washington's Navy Yard on Monday.

Twelve families were left anguished. On Monday night, seven of them received dreaded news.

    National news last night reported then that a 13th person died in the hospital. Also that is the same report today yet i still dont see a change here. I have rarely heard of Brian Williams getting it wrong so what gives?

    Good morning and yes @Chrissy, reports did mention that a 13th victim had died of injuries.
    terrible loss of life .My heartfelt condolences to the families and prayers for the injured.

    Mass shootings becoming horribly recurrent. This is terrorism nothing less.
    Breach of security at this sensitive site is another big question for those responsible for guarding.
