AT&T takes $1 billion health care reform charge

AT&T said Friday it will take a non-cash charge of about $1 billion for the current quarter in anticipation of costs resulting from the health care reform measure signed into law this week by President Obama.

Dodd calls for Lehman Bros. investigation

A year and a half after Lehman Brothers' collapse, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd, D-Conn., is calling for a federal investigation into the "Lehman situation" and other companies that may have fudged their balance sheets, contributing to the financial crisis.

Price tag of TARP bailout: $109 billion

The government's unprecedented $700 billion economic bailout will actually cost taxpayers just 16 percent of that total, according to a Congressional Budget Office report released Wednesday.
