[Update 11:30 a.m.] The suspect in a shooting at The Ohio State University is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
The man, a probationary custodial employee at the building, had received a poor performance review. A manager was pronounced dead at the scene. The third victim is in stable condition.
No students were involved in the incident, which occurred around 3:30 a.m. ET at the McCracken Power Plant building on West 17th Avenue near the Ohio Stadium, Ohio State University Police Chief Paul Denton said.
[Posted 7:28 a.m.] A suspect was in custody after a shooting at The Ohio State University early Tuesday morning, the university said.
The university did not say who was injured in the shooting. But CNN-affiliate WCMH reported that one person was killed and two were wounded in the shooting near Ohio Stadium at the university's campus in Columbus.
The university said no students were involved in the incident. The incident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. ET, the affiliate said. Another CNN affiliate, WBNS, reported the shooting took place inside the McCracken Power Plant building, located on West 17th Avenue near the stadium.
E-mail alerts were sent out to students warning them about the shooting, the university said.
