Suicide bomber trips, kills 5, injures 13

Five civilians were killed and 13 injured when a bumbling suicide bomber tripped Thursday as he tried to attack a military convoy in northwestern Pakistan, police said.

The suicide bomber was running toward the passing convoy when he tripped over a bench and detonated before reaching his target, said Asif Khan, a Peshawar police official. The attack occurred in Baraqadeem, an area just outside of Peshawar, the capital of the North-West Frontier Province.

The bombing occurred around 5:50 p.m. (7:50 a.m. ET), Khan said.

    Kind of sad to think this person couldn't even get his last moments on earth right. Decides to die for a cause and dies because he was clumsy, not a martyr. Does he still get virgins?

    They should tell them in suicide bomber school to walk not run, you could fall and get hurt.

    Suicide bombers generally do not seem to be the most intelligent or sane, so an accident of this sort must be expected eventually. Sad that innocent civilians had to die along with the murderer.

    Now I know why there has not been any mayor Al Qaeda attack on American soli since 911.....these bumbling fool couldn't blow themselves up if they had a match deep in a pool of gasoline! Now I can sleep safe at night and go to work during the day, knowing that these idiots won't be able to attack us again!
