Judge: State will help pay Casey Anthony's defense
The state of Florida must fund some of Casey Anthony's defense in her first-degree murder trial for the death of daughter Caylee, a judge ruled Friday.
"All costs submitted shall be in compliance with the Ninth Judicial Circuit's caps and rates and are subject to further review," Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland said in a order issued Friday.
Anthony's defense team told the court Thursday that she was broke and could not bear expenses associated with her defense. In Friday's order, Strickland granted Anthony's request to be declared indigent, which means the state will pay expenses related to her defense on a discretionary basis except for attorney's fees.

i just dont get it. sure glad i dont live in fla. this loser kills her kid. but all the hard working peo[ple of fla has to pay for this trashy loser pay for her trial. ar you kidding me. thta is so wrong...she is sitten back laughing at the judge grant this to the baby killer. people needs to come to gether and let that judge know that this is wrong. she killed her kid but state of fla has to pay for her trail...how wrong is that..
I cannot believe ABC is contributing 200K toward her defense for interviews and pictures. I call for a BOYCOTT of ABC. This is absolutely ridiculous. Any WHY should the State of Florida have to pay for her defense. I'm a taxpayer and I disagree with having to fund an *alleged* child murderer. It's time this girl paid her own dues!
its not that she cannot look at them grace she dooes not want to she hates them cuz she is jealous of that gorgeous baby that is why she did this partying was just an afterthought the main motive was revenge they loved caylee more in her evil mind everybody loved caylee more than her she hated caylee and her parents specially her mom
Ok this has been bothering me for a minute since i watched her last hearing for the money thing. Didn't bozo baez state in one interveiw that he has the evidence that casey is innocent and we will have to wait for the trial??? Sooo if he has all the evidence to prove her innocent then why in the hell does he need all these funds to pay for the experts??? Kinda fishy to me I think bozo should watch what he says before he opens his bigg mouth!! And casey shouldn't get help from the state she didnt help caylee, she went out and went to a hot body contest and got a beautiful life tattoo right after her kid went missing!! come on its terrible I cannot believe what america has become lock up the pot dealers for 25 yrs but get big lawyers to defend a baby killer????? And have the state pay for it! This country is pathetic anymore Im moving to canada!! I cant live in a place that defends baby killers!!!!!
The State should pay the entire defense and the State should pay for outside investigators to determine why Kronk has not been investigated for possibly murdering this child. The State apparently thinks it has to destroy Jose Baez's career to win the case. Perhaps the State should stand trial. Who wants someone facing the death penalty when theire's a possible child murderer on the loose. There is ample evidence of that and, therefore, the feeding frenzy crowd shouldn't have to get too upset.
