Web Pulse: Nintendo 3D, Christina Aguilera, Buzz Aldrin

Here’s a quick glance at the collective consciousness of the Web on Tuesday:

"Not Myself Tonight" - Welcome back, Christina Aguilera. The singer is back in the news today with the announcement on her Web site that "Not Myself Tonight” is the name for the first single off her new album, Bionic. Her Web site, ChristinaAguilera.com, recently transformed with new art and a countdown, and bigger news is coming, according to the countdown. I'm hoping it comes in the form of the actual single, considering her album release date has been pushed back a few times. There's been a void on the airwaves without that big-belting voice, and I, for one, can't wait to her what Xtina has been up to.

Ninendo 3DS - Nintendo created frenzied excitement Tuesday on the Web when it announced it will introduce a handheld console that plays games in 3-D without the use of special glasses. The move follows a trend in electronics to incorporate 3-D into home theaters, but the thought of donning glasses to have to watch everything has always been the downfall. Perhaps Nintendo is onto something here - something that others like Apple and TV makers may be able to copy. Maybe now, we won't need to sit in front of the couch looking like we're in "Star Trek" to get in on the action after all.

Buzz Aldrin - The Web world is scouring to see the moon walker's performance from last night's "Dancing With the Stars, " but it may be because his moves on the dance floor weren't nearly out-of-this-world. Some called it "spacey" (I assume, pun intended) while others said it was simply sad and creepy. For a majority of the show's fans, this year's cast is chock full of good talent, but for others, the show has turned simply into a way to exploit stars whose careers are sometimes in a downturn.

My World 2 - OK, to start off with, I'll be honest. I'm not a Justin Bieber fan - for no reason really. I trust Usher is a good mentor and he'll continue to be successful, depending on how his voice changes as he ages. But I just don't get him. However, the masses are speaking, and so I shall listen. Bieber, who is perhaps one of the longest-running top-trending topics on Twitter, is back on top again, this time specifically because of his new album, "My World 2," which came out today.
